I don’t disagree with you here. I’m just pointing out that it happens. That was Jon Gruden btw.

I wanted Earnest to get more carries also, but I’m not sure gruden is a clown coach. I also think the Glazers have more Lombardi trophies than most owners, so they are better than culverhouse

He messed up letting his running backs coach call the shots.

He's not a clown in all respects, he should have taken control of who plays running back.

I personally like John Gruden. My sister lives in Tampa and she and her husband were great friends with the Grudens.

People would wonder who she was... walking side by side with John on the way to the practice field way back when the Bucs had their spring practice at Disney... way back in the day. They are all good friends.

Come on, you know exactly what he is talking about.
He sat behind King in HS, could have went to another school but stayed, worked hard, and it got him recruited. Sat behind Franks; worked hard and waited his chance, got him drafted. He has proven his resiliency and patience, which in today’s me first world is very refreshing!

In what round was Brady drafted in again? Was it the third round? It’s been so long I don’t remember.

This time he has given his shot. He has earned it. Sink or swim time. Hopefully AR gets the same couple years because he’s not ready either.

Question: If Trask ends up starting at some point in the season, and AR is starting for the Colts as well.... when is the last time UF had 2 starting QB's in the NFL?

Rex Grossman, Tim Tebow and Cam Newton were NFL starters in 2011

If I were the TB coaches, I'd go with Trask, so far I think he is playing better however my mind tells me they will go with experience which is a bit odd considering Baker's history.
I think what will happen if Baker starts, Tampa will lose a lot of games by game 5 and they will have to replace Baker. Trask comes in and does what Trask does, win. I think this is the better scenario.
If I were a coach and Baker's my qb, expect getting fired. I don't think TB's coach will keep his job.

The NFL made a ton of money during Tebow-mania, which is their bottom line. So why would his popularity bother them?

My only concern with this scenario is if they start off on such a bad foot, do they just tank for Caleb Williams and not even give Trask a real opportunity? Williams is one of the best QB talents to come out in awhile and that has to be on the back of their minds, even though I think it would be incredibly unfair to Trask.

All I hope is that he gets a real chance to show his game. He's been overlooked his entire career and it would be great for his story to take off.

The talking heads talk crap about everyone; I can’t think of one professional athlete in history who hasn’t had negative things said/written about them by the media. I don’t think the NFL lets their media influence how they feel about a player. Fact is Tebow was great for business in terms of ratings and (like you mentioned) jersey sales, it wouldn’t make any sense for them to root for the downfall of a golden goose.
