This is a position of need even still. The only concern for me is the proven, quality, depth, but I really like this DL room.

It's obvious that we did well in the transfer portal.

I can see Watson losing snaps as the season moves on. His weight just won't allow him to stay on the field. In the era of up tempo offenses, he will get winded fast.

Thankfully this is just a preseason status report, instead of a fluff piece that leads to over the top expectations.

The author did a great job in covering what could be the key D-Line players.

For the next 26 days, both the player and coaches have a lot of work to do. The results of the Utah game will tell us if the program is headed in the right direction.

I'm not ready to go all-in on Game 1. Either direction.

So many new faces. I can't imagine we'll be well oiled. A terrific effort and a one point win would make me very happy. But If Rising isn't mobile I could see it getting ugly.

Is it just me, or is anyone else concerned that Jackson is 371 lbs?

It's about 20 pounds heavier than I would like but it's reported that he is 6'6 pushing 6'7. Also it's 70 pounds lighter than Dez who is an inch or so shorter.

We need to have Dez stand on a scale right before each game so we know exactly how much he weighs.

This year's DL will be much better than they have been in a while... and they will only get better as the year rolls on.

    Agreed,
Suddenly it seems we have a decent two deep.
