As long as Napier is here, we’re gonna do this. Like it or not, it’s gonna happen. I don’t get those that hate. Support our coach or not, but pull the camera back. We are talking about honoring vets and wearing all black which most players like.
For me it’s not hate Tommy. I’ve just never been a fan of UF going to black unis. As I’ve said earlier, it’s always seemed gimmicky to me when teams do that. I’m all for honoring our heroes in the United States military — that can be done in many ways. But hey, if the kids really like them then great. They do look sharp with the orange and blue popping out of the black. Go Gators
I think it’s a way to get the players’ attention. Give them something they want, but wrap it up in a message you want to get across. I don’t think it’ll be as effective if we created camo uniforms that the kids don’t think is cool.
Oh, you know he's the one behind the black uniform... he did it at his last stop at Louisiana, and I don't care much about it either way.
It’ll likely be at noon. If we have a better season than I expect, that could change… but likely noon.
Games that weekend LSU at Alabama Arkansas at Florida Missouri at Georgia Texas A&M at Ole Miss Kentucky at Mississippi State Jacksonville State at South Carolina UConn at Tennessee Auburn at Vanderbilt South Carolina, playing their 2nd FCS team of the year, might be streaming only.
So glad FSU ditched ours. I am not opposed to them per se, but the execution was terrible. If they players want them, fine. Black uniforms are so 10-15 years ago. You guys nailed it with the throwbacks. Those were amazing and what you should wear for a game or two. Really wish FSU would do that with the pre-Bowden, Ron Sellers era uniforms. The template with modern fit would look great... Just don't wear those God awful Gator skin unis again. You looked like luggage out there.
The unis look good but I like orange and blue. If it makes the kids happy, ok, whatever.. but…. What’s black have to do with vets. My dad , and my grandpa are/were vets and I have three kids in the military.. what’s black got to do with it?
