Awesome, we would run Buck sweep action , roll the qb to play side , sink the TE then out to a wide open flat or have the option of QB keep

If mechanics - yes, if mental - no. Once the mental stress takes charge, hard to get that back.

It has been a while since this was posted but I just have to respond. To a weak hitter that everybody knows is getting the take sign a belt high four seamer over the meat of the plate is not a bad pitch.

Pitching is not just throwing strikes. Pitching is mostly upsetting timing. A secondary consideration is getting the hitter to look for a pitch where it isn't thrown. A really good splitter won't be a strike if it isn't swung at. It is a strike or a weak grounder by enticing a hitter to think it is a strike. If you just want somebody to "throw strikes" then it is batting practise. It isn't pitching.

A great reply. A lot of these guys have so much movement on some of their pitches that it can be an issue keeping it close to the zone.

In the "you never know department": a buddy of mine who is connected with the Double A Eastern League- gave me a head's up on a pitcher who had some control issues with the Gators in 2021-- Franco Aleman. He's in the Cleveland organization with Double A - Akron- and has pitched lights out since being promoted. Eight appearances, 13 innings, 0 runs, 4 hits, 2 walks and 19 Ks, with a WHIP of 0.462. There's talk he may get called up to the show later this season. If you folks remember, he had major arm side movement on his FB.
Wish him the best- always thought the talent was there.
