Pretty sure Billy would take a 6’2” or taller outside receiver right now. That’s what this class is lacking at this point.

We know the one he wants.
He just needs to flip him.

I think we got the size we need last cycle in Jean and Mizell, height wise at least.

I didnt forget I just don't remember Jean being described as a burner but more of a precise route runner.

I like the 3 commits at WR we have this cycle but I still feel Billy G needs to reel in a big fish at SOME point. Hasn't done it since he was coaching under Meyer

I just don't see it. I think it's real close, I mean why does JS keep coming back so much? But unless Hartline goes to Northwestern........can't put him in my mock.

Serve me some crow Billy G, I will happily eat it.

I feel the same way. He's a weird recruiter at the WR position for sure. The talent he inherited when he came back in 2018 wasn't close to what he recruited and left us with. I'm glad he and the staff identified we need speed this cycle but I hope he can flip Smith, I don't see it personally that's why I don't entertain it, or flip another big fish

From the TP but Van Jefferson and Grimes were huge for us.

yea they were. I was really shocked that Grimes didn't latch onto an NFL roster even as a practice squad player. He was raw but had solid straight line speed and jumping ability. I know he had the knee injury when he was signed after the draft with the Eagles but yea, strange.

He enjoys hanging with Lagway. Probably has a blast in Gainesville. But maybe wants to play in Ohio.

I'm curious about his visit pattern to osu since Lagway started working him.

It sure feels that way but wide receivers. Have not been a problem. We have a ton of them that have been good.

I don't understand why Smith continues to flirt with other programs. The NIL angle makes some sense but he will get just about anything he wants from any school out there ... without playing these schools against each other. I'm sure the OSU alum are ready to make him rich.

He's been enjoying the ride for a long time. Doesn't it get old? Everyone he comes in contact with is kissing his arse, begging him to play for their team. I'm sure he gets fed well, stays in nice hotels and is shown a good time every where he goes ... but damn, doesn't he have anything else to do? Lobster Jeremiah?

It's time to shut it down or decommit.

247 Sports is allowing premium content to be viewed today only. Enjoy.

Jeremiah Smith says he wants to see how UF plays this season. He says he wants to make it back for a game and he can create his legacy at UF. What, he's never been to a rocking UF game?

Me? He is being nice but isn't seriously in play. He's committed to tOSU and is enjoying the process. You'd think Smith grew up in the Midwest and is looking forward to the Big Ten/PAC expansion. There is no experience that he can get at tOSU that isn't made better in the SEC and especially so with TexAss and Mini Me coming onboard.
