Holes and Clemson cannot leave the ACC unless they pay a crazy amount of money (like $127 million).

Clemson in the B1G academically is a joke.

This is also the B1G’s only shot at being relevant in baseball.

I’d be willing to bet Clemson is ranked higher in academics than SWAC. Hell, the clowns don’t even have a college of engineering

I feel my interest in the new pro college sports world continue to wane. Sad.

There are other rankings but US News and World Report is a widely recognized one. Pubic colleges ranking:
    UF 5
    f$u 16
    Clemson 31

Try 4x that number. They are in a huge hole. But at least it's a good Basketball conference.

It’s the direct result of Florida’s skyrocketing, and Bright Futures. More quality kids are staying in Florida. And there’s only so many open spots at UF. The next tier is FSU, and they have benefitted as well.

In a 22 team conference what kind of schedule would they have? They would have to have a 10 conference game schedule, with one permanent every year rival, to make that work. That is if you want to play every team every other year.

Would the SEC be willing to make a 1-10-10 schedule every year?

That looks like an 11 game conference schedule per year to me.

Thanks . . . It may be a negotiating ploy to get the teams they really want: Oregon and Washington . . . to commit by telling them if they don't the spots may be taken by Clemson and whatever other bottom-dwelling cesspool they can find (just to be fair).

Why does the B1G need a negotiating ploy? Oregon and Washington are sitting by the phone praying for an invite from the B1G.

Any PAC team would leave for the B1G in a NY minute, even for a half share. If rumors are true, the PAC TV deal is only $20 million a year, and streaming with Apple TV. Oregon and Washington are potentially flirting with the BIG12 to try and get the B1G to act. Though doubtful UW and Oregon really want to go to the BIG12.

Arizona is likely the next PAC team to go to the BIG12. But the ABOR would not be happy to split UA and Arizona State. Arizona would love ASU and Utah to come along, but Utah doesn't want to be in the same conference as BYU again.

Not sure what will happen next. But it won't be pretty.
