I get your point and I agree to an extent. But DM was the sole reason we couldn't/didn't even try to recruit at a high level during his disastrous tenure. To CBN's credit, the recruiting has improved rather dramatically and, in that respect, at least, help really is on the way. To your original point, IMO, the downturn in attendance and our fortunes in general came about as a direct result of the administration being asleep at the wheel for the better part of a decade. The refusal to acknowledge the need for keeping up with the elite programs in any meaningful way was the fatal, over-arching blunder that snatched us from the ranks of the CFB elite and put us in the spot we're in today. For me personally, if a modernized, improved version of the existing Swamp is the correct answer, great. If the big-bucks guys decide they want a shiny new Swamp and don't try to scrimp on the wow factor, I'm cool with that too. I just want UF to be at least comparable in every respect to the other major players in the conference. That remains the truest measure of commitment to a bigtime future for the FB program that is not yet currently in place or at least underway. A failure to upgrade the stadium to prevailing modern standards would feel like more of the same old half-hearted BS to me.

Lose some weight fat boy... All kidding aside, even Scott Stricklin mentioned seating capacity as a plus for our stadium and even said that he might take some of the 180,00 sq-ft from the offices in the stadium to make room for more seating. And he stated that he wanted to find one place for the student section instead of having them dispersed all over the place like they are now. I kind of like that the students are dispersed, but I do think he will put them all in one area...
