That was incoherent drivel. You are making up stuff. Not a good look. Teachers can ignore it. Case closed. But you keep thinking it’s some grand racist conspiracy. Guess you love wearing the tin foil hat

Yeah, you got nothing. Hopefully teachers will ignore it, but if they do, they might get in trouble if they are reported by a mom for liberty. The agenda in the curriculum is clear. Indentured servitude? Why include that? Hardly any Africans were indentured servants.

I see you can’t defend why you were for the AP African studies program when their curriculum had the same thing in there. You are a hypocrite. It’s ok to admit it.

DeSantis banned the AP African studies course. I guess there wasn't enough (or any) stuff about indentured servitude in it. We gotta let everyone know that Whites were slaves too.

It's a hell of a lot better than Florida's version. Do you think Florida should allow the AP AA studies course? If not, why not?

I didn’t have opinion one way or the other. Unlike some, if I don’t read something first or understand it, then I usually don’t comment on it. I read the curriculum for Fl and have said I don’t like the bullet point at all. Do I think it was racist? No, but it looks bad optically. I would like Fl to change it or just instruct the teachers to ignore that part. Again, you were for the AP course. Sounds like you didn’t even read the curriculum you were for. Well, that’s on you. Just admit it.

That's pretty funny -- the stuff about you not commenting on something before reading it or understanding it. I got a kick out of that.

But here's the AP version. I've read it and compared it to the Florida version. I guess you haven't. Read it and get back to us whether you think DeSantis should have banned it from being taught in Florida schools.

I read this part. I like this version better than the one for middle school but I think both shouldn't be in the curriculum. You were for the AP course so you are for racism I guess...

Isn't this how this works for the left?

Nope. You read it again because you are obviously racist for wanting it taught since you have no problem with what is in it.

I don't think it's racist. The DeSantis version wants everyone to know there were White slaves too.

DeSantis needs to quietly capitulate on this particular item today. It's the right thing to do. It's still far enough away from the primaries for him to distance himself from it and he has zero shot to go anywhere if he stands by it. He won Florida by 20 points, but if Floridians were voting on this singular issue of "teaching slavery had benefits", I'm pretty certain Florida would vote to strike this particular item from the curriculum. Rolling back wokeism in public schools is great, but this goes too far and is a shining example of where the right goes too far. DeSantis still has time to retreat and reposition himself with regard to this, but man, that clock is running out fast.

All I see is you choosing to be ignorant. Read the AP AA studies curriculum and let us know if you agree with DeSantis that it shouldn't be taught in Florida.

We aren’t discussing the entire AP course here. I posted an example of the AP course having a very similar take on the Fl curriculum. It seems you are upset with yourself for being for some racist teachings. Congrats to you and all the Libs who wanted the AP course taught with all its inherent racism.

Well I'm discussing the AP course and you are being intentionally ignorant of it. The AP course differs widely from the Florida course. Read it and get back to us.
