You clearly do not understand these stats do not include children from foreign countries who are smuggled into the U.S. The stats above are speaking to children who were already in America pre-abduction. We don’t have a way to accurately peg the amount of children being smuggled in, because they are undocumented. That’s part of the allure for the predators here in America, because nobody are actively searching for these children and they feel that is what keeps them from getting caught. Nobody here knows they exist. Seriously, WTF is your problem?

Propaganda vs reality. How many sex rings of using little kids smuggled into the US have been discovered and prosecuted. You can’t point to numbers, because most of the nonsense is MADE up. Just like voter fraud, it happens, but….

That is my problem. I am sorry for your loss.

Wow how mistaken you are. Not made up. I know someone very high up in law enforcement who works in human trafficking in the Tampa Bay area and if you heard some of the cases he has told us about you would have a different perspective on this situation. It is very bad and Florida is one of the worst areas for this criminal activity. Bury your head in the sand all you want but it is reality.

Go back and read what I wrote. And apply those comments to your Tampa connections data. The affected populations , etc. I am very familiar with the situations and the real life data and the people. Florida has long been a center for many types abuses.
What I object to is folks trying to make the exception the rule to feed to global cabal conspiracies. That is the strong undercurrent feeding all of this. That is why I joke pizza gate.

You want to know who sexually abuses kids? Talk to any seasoned investigator, people in custodial care of them. Ask your friend.
And fentanyl, yup semi’s, ships and cars coming across.
Take a breath, step back and look in the mirror.

That is not factually true if you click on the link that they use as a basis for those statements. Here is what the link actually says:

Given the obvious issues with accurately reporting the numbers that they cite, I wouldn't put a lot of stock into the numbers that they don't cite. I'd be careful about citing some of these sketchy groups that do things like sell merchandise on their website on this issue.

Doesn’t matter if it’s only 10% of that number. It’s still a big issue. Saying it doesn’t happen is putting your head in the sand.

We have no indication that it is even 10% of that number. Regardless, the stats that you provided aren't accurate.

Yes, 10% isn’t accurate. Much higher according to our Government. Real numbers are almost impossible to get exact, but again it’s a good number of people.

    Human Trafficking

Due to the “hidden” nature of trafficking activities, gathering statistics on the magnitude of the problem is a complex and difficult task. The following statistics are the most accurate available, given these complexities, but may represent an underestimation of trafficking on a global and national scale.

Each year, an estimated 14,500 to 17,500 foreign nationals are trafficked into the United States. The number of U.S. citizens trafficked within the country each year is even higher, with an estimated 200,000 American children at risk for trafficking into the sex industry. (U.S. Department of Justice. 2004. Report to Congress from Attorney General John Ashcroft on U.S. Government Efforts to Combat Trafficking in Persons in Fiscal Year 2003. Washington, D.C.: U.S. Department of Justice.)

Neither of those numbers are on point to an indication of the number of children that were victims of child sex trafficking. One includes adults (and non-sex trafficking). The other is "at-risk" not people who have actually had it done (i.e., how is at risk defined? likely something about insecure family situations and/or economic issues). Both of those numbers is likely considerably higher than the real number that is of interest here. The government numbers do not demonstrate your point that 10% is too low.

Lol. You nor I know the exact number but you are downplaying it. Well, we had over 2,000 people referred for prosecution for trafficking in 2020. That’s only the people to at were caught. So yeah, it’s a significant amount of people.

Human Trafficking Data Collection Activities, 2022

    • A total of 2,198 persons were referred to U.S. Attorneys for human trafficking offenses in fiscal year 2020, a 62% increase from the 1,360 persons referred in 2011.

Again, that is for trafficking in general, which is much broader than child sex trafficking. I am trying to get accurate numbers as to child sex trafficking, which haven't been provided yet. Thus far, we have moved from the initial claim of 109,000 children being sex trafficked a year to 2,198 persons referred to US attorney (of which 837 were convicted).

For the people involved, this is an absolutely awful situation, but we also shouldn't be exaggerating the number of incidents by orders of magnitude simply because of how serious it is for those involved.

Unfortunately, this has become a way that people can exploit real tragedy to bilk people out of money (such as the initial group you linked selling merchandise).

No, fighting hard for accuracy in reporting. At no point have I said anything about criminals. I have discussed the amount of a crime and the fact that some sketchy organization apparently greatly exaggerated how often it occurs.

You are correct. In fact, 8 out of every 5 people don't understand math nor statistics.
Remember, we were told there are some 20 million homeless people in the USA and we need to stop everything and care for them....or maybe 2 million....doesn't matter because the group saying this is a non-profit and therefore immune to any possible bias of bad intent. Just like every study ever done on MM global climate change.

We can agree that it's very difficult to trust any source nowadays because -
    * the systems we use to communicate are phenomenally fast
    * the systems prefer and promote the crazy, outlandish claims
    * there is a plethora of information presented and we are overwhelmed
    * all sides have been guilty of handing out BS and claiming it's steak
    * our attention spans are like gnats...two days after the headline (now proven false) no one remembers that the claim was erroneous.

The right has been buying out showings of this movie because good box office numbers spur interest. Why? It's because:

    1. Conspiracy rabbit holes lead you towards QaNon.
    2. Conspiracies push you closer to entering the right wing fake news bubble.
    3. Almost all conspiracies lead you to blame on the Jews for something.

All these results are in the interest of the GOP.

LOL, because there isn’t perfectly accurate numbers then it’s just a grift. Wow. What an ignorant comment. We don’t have accurate numbers on how many illegals cross the boarder either but we know it exists just like we know human trafficking exists. And to think it is so small it’s not a big deal is the typical lefty response because it’s the opposite of the rights take.
