I think that would be a mistake. I think it would be a mistake because it will lead to battles of consolidation, and ultimately a significant continuance of the trials, past the 2024 election. The only way I think this happens is if Jack Smith’s team truly feels they can’t get a fair trial from Cannon.

Trump is scrambling for cash because his Florida lawyers are 'holding him up for money': analyst (msn.com)

In particular, she noted that the lawyers representing him in Florida where he is facing federal charges related to refusing to return government documents that he was hoarding at his Mar-a-Lago estate are pressing him for money.

"He needs to raise a lot of money because these lawyers are very expensive," she told the MSNBC host. "We've seen the reporting, especially those Florida lawyers with the security clearance are really holding him up for money."

"I would also say, remember, Trump's thing as he is trying to kick the can't as much as possible with all of these cases, right?" she continued. "This will be his second set of federal indictments. And may not be in Florida, so he may not be able to kick the can the way that he would with Judge [Aileen] Cannon, so I think that is something to think about."

"But I do think he is ultimately quite scared," she added. "You are seeing him tweet out a lot of really violent and scary stuff. He's truthing it, he's not tweeting it, and he's trying to scare, he's trying to distract, and get his supporters engaged. And he, again, needs to raise a lot of money."

Giuliani admits he lied about Georgia election info and the damages are going to be huuuuuuge

Giuliani concedes he made public comments falsely claiming Georgia election workers committed fraud | AP News

Rudy Giuliani has conceded that he made public comments falsely claiming two Georgia election workers committed ballot fraud during the 2020 presidential race but is arguing that the statements were protected by the First Amendment.

That assertion by Giuliani, who as part of Donald Trump’s legal team tried to overturn results in battleground states, came in a filing Tuesday in a lawsuit by Ruby Freeman and Wandrea “Shaye” Moss. Their lawsuit from December 2021 accused the former New York City mayor of defaming them by falsely stating that they had engaged in fraud while counting ballots at State Farm Arena in Atlanta.

The lawsuit says Giuliani repeatedly pushed debunked claims that Freeman and Moss — mother and daughter — pulled out suitcases of illegal ballots and committed other acts of fraud to try to alter the outcome of the race.
now the Pub COO fo the Georgia dept of state is veyr clear that the claim of a rigged elections were lies. WIll the trumpettes beleive him? WIll it matter to them if they were lied to?

'They lied to you': Georgia Republican begs MAGA voters to see the truth after Giuliani admissions (msn.com)

Gabriel Sterling, the Republican chief operating officer of the Georgia Secretary of State's office, made a fresh plea to Trump supporters in the wake of former Trump lawyer Rudy Giuliani's admission that he made false statements about Georgia poll workers Ruby Freeman and Shaye Moss.

Writing on Twitter, Sterling said that Giuliani's admission should make Trump supporters realize that they were fed nonstop falsehoods about the 2020 presidential election, which former President Donald Trump lost decisively to President Joe Biden.

"Rudy Giuliani admits that he lied about Shaye Moss and Ruby Freeman," Sterling wrote. "We've known for years that he lied about them and the events at State Farm Arena. For those that still believe there was widespread voter fraud, these people are admitting they lied to you."

They deleted surveillance footage. Charged the guy who did it. And added an additional Espionage Act charge against Trump.

CNN now reporting the DOJ found the Iran invasion top secret document at Bedminister. Found is his possession. Presumably at Bedminster, Mar A Lago or Doral (unless they’ve dug Ivanka up).

With every new thing we find out, I see no reason this fat POS should not be held behind bars awaiting trial.

He’s clearly a flight risk and he’s done far worse than the kid in Massachusetts (on the purloined docs alone).

Edit to add with this Smith has a clear path to bring charges in NJ.

Depends when the acts of obstruction occurred. But no other person would be free to make the statements he makes in public about his case and threaten revenge like he did last weekend and stay out of jail pending trial. Apart from flight risk, he is a risk to others. He is right that he is being treated differently than any other defendant. The privilege of power and fear of his base.

Such a double standard. Democrats have destroyed so much evidence over the years, every single one of them.

How do we know? What else could account for the fact that Republican investigations can never came up with evidence of the wrongdoing they know is occurring.

Obviously, evidence has been destroyed wholesale, all the time.

This thread does a good job of tying together all the disparate and desperate acts by trump and his minions between the election and J6 in chronological order. These are the events Smith has been asking witnesses about.

It is truly pathetic that low level guys like Trump’s co-defendants in the Documents case are going down with the ship with him. Then again, everyone has a choice in life.

The obstruction continued with DeOlivera after the FBI search. That would get any defendant pretrial detention.
