People aren't born blue. They aren't born with a religion or with a ballot in their hand. Those are choices.
You're right. I do excoriate police...when it's deserved...but I also defend them...when it's deserved. I am critical of the system in general, and in being critical, I make an effort to be objective and fair. But no offense, you seem unable to see this or the problems in policing because you're blinded by your own anger & obsession about liberals. Thing is, this shouldn't be a left/right issue. It's a matter of how policing operates within our constitutional system, hot it affects us all, and what it means to live in a free society. If all you can think is in left/right terms, well that's on you. Of course, you are free to ignore the problems, but I reject your efforts to point fingers at me as if being informed and speaking out about abusive government practices is the problem. That's just nonsense upon stilts.
It’s easy to talk about left/right on this board. There are only a select few who can resist the team gaming that plays out here each and every day. I don’t see you as one of the select few. Sorry to hurt your feelings…I pointed out that you’re whole goal in life is to disrupt and complicate the job of a policeman. I understand why you do it. Just understand what it looks like to the outside and why you’ll mostly be grouped with the libbies who hate the police.
I think some of the issue is from the fact that certain individuals on this forum regularly/weekly/daily it seems- post threads about bad cops and the same individuals derail/ defame any thread about good cops. It can easily seem like many are against cops in general ( while I think there are a few here that are most are not). And we do paint with a broadbrush all too often. Both sides. These cops are bad becomes cops are bad. This agent was crooked- all agents are crooked. These immigrants are criminals - all immigrants are criminals. The truth is both sides spin/ shade the facts to further their narratives.
If you want to know what my "whole goal in life is" or at least in my profession, it has been to pursue knowledge and educate others. I get that you don't like what I do (and believe I know why) and have made quite a few sideways comments mocking it. Don't worry, I don't insult easily. I'm a big boy and can handle it Anyway, it would be of no help to police or to society at large by pretending that the problems in policing don't exist or in keeping quiet about it. You can't fix problems if you are unable or unwilling to understand the problems in the first place. And in the second, not to even try to do something about it. But you'll never be able to see any of this with all that anti-liberal rage and fear clouding your perceptions.
Rage? Ha. IMHO your efforts would do better if aimed at something else…say education reform. Those poor teachers, most of them don’t stand a chance.

Well, the other day you did write that liberals were "infuriating." Is that not feeling rage? I'd say, humbly too, open your mind up to the possibility that you aren't seeing the bigger picture wrt policing/cj.
Looks like someone’s triggered by the police coverup and conspiracy thread. That’s good to know, I’ll make sure I update it regularly
Mutz, you’ll have to take my word on this. I know it’s a broken system. I know cops are only human and they make some really bad decisions. Where I am very different from others on the board…it’s irreparable. That’s why I believe I can do my part in showing appreciation to them as they try to do the impossible.
Notice the crickets on the good guys thread from you blue haters. Sad that your hate is so much stronger than your gratitude.
I do. I believe you. Agree. Of course police are only human (with the same limitations and flaws as the rest of us!) and sometimes make really bad decisions that once made can have enormous consequences even over minor issues. Same time, police have be asked to do the impossible for which many if not most are not trained to do or are capable of doing. This is why I often talk about reforming the system, i.e. policing not about individual bad apples. A lot of those bad decisions aren't about the individual officer who makes them per se, but the system, policies and culture that makes bad decisions a much more likely outcome. I def understand your thinking it's irreparable. Maybe you're right? But I can't get behind not trying...for reasons I stated above but also because the consequences for both the public and police can be/have been enormous. Also, I don't have a problem with you posting good things police do and understand why.
