I think we human beings are a funny lot in that we like to live in fear. It’s why they didn’t need an actual pathogen to control us.

Male life expectancy dipped to 73.2, in 2021, and will no doubt go down further in 2022.

Both my grandfathers died at the age of 72 in the 1970s. Both were lifelong smokers.

Other reasons to keep thread open: crimes against humanity, staggering excess mortality, greatest mass-delusion in recent history, etc.

This is super funny. Someone quoting the NYT's as a bastion for truth. The NYT's was one of the worst spreaders of disinformation in the world during covid. Let's see what the NYT's was for during covid: Lockdowns, school closures, masking, forced vaccinations, against the lab leak theory. I could go on and on. FL had a better all cause death rate than any state in the sunbelt CA included. So to paint DeSantis in a bad light is 100% politics, but you know that and are willfully going along with it.

It is amazing China only sustained 4 deaths per million population. While it's well known China fudges their numbers on certain things, you can only fudge so much before people totally discredit anything that you publish.

Think about it: in the absence of a virus, ALL figures are fudged. In other words, if China reported a far lower IFR than we did, that just means that China is closer to the true IFR … which is zero.

The Mother of all Pandemics, the Spanish Flu, basically lasted 18 months. This one just won’t go away. It’s almost as if we’re hoping it’ll never go away so we can always works from home …

He’s Affirming the Consequent thought. In other words, Covidians just say, “See ? He’s getting Covid every three or four months, but they’re mild cases. They’d be much worse had he not been vaccinated!”

My point is that 2020ff is nothing more than a testing-demic. As long as people keep testing (and people are testing out of morbid curiosity, little more than that) … this will be the first permanent ‘pandemic.’

It’s like all of humanity waking up on the surface of Mars, where they can never go outside without a helmet and a protective suit …

The GBD authors declared that "focused protection" to reach herd immunity should be the goal. So how is duchen wrong or ignorant? Anyway, I'm sure the GBD authors meant well and believed their argument but the fact is a big part of their problem was in failing to provide specifics on how focused protection could be implemented on a nationwide scale (in a crisis), and worse, failing to provide any scientific evidence that might point to the likelihood or potential of their strategy succeeding and/or their strategy being a superior alternative to broad restrictions.

GMB never saw spectacular and mind-boggling levels of testing coming.

In the summer of 2020 Americans were testing to the tune of TWO-MILLION a day.

To put that in perspective, during the so-called Swine Flu Pandemic of 2009, the CDC distributed one-million testing kits WORLDWIDE.

Then weeks later the tests were called in on the presumption that, if Americans kept testing, they’d drive themselves mad.

    What changed ?

For whatever reason NYC, Detroit and Chicago had those ventilators going full-blast. ‘Covid deaths’ here. Red has as many deaths as yellow. Yellow had as many deaths as green …

It should have been the goal. In fact the GBD was not against the shot. It was for the shot when it became available. But they understood the data and they also understood the damage we were going to do by inflicting a one size fits all approach that is the antithesis of medicine.

I removed my name from the GMD on the revelation they were shilling for the shot.

Virtually everybody that weighed in was wrong. Desperately wrong. No matter the certifications or peer-reviewed citations.

In the case of GMD, it was a matter of the mistaken being muscled out by the greater mistaken.
