The cookout is coming this weekend and UF is looking to pretty much finish up this class. They would like to sign at least one corner, one more WR if its the right guy, McCrary and another OL if its the right guy. The 25 class is will under way and top LBer TJ Alford has set a december date to announce. I will be adding him to the announcement thread. Im also told it is posdible UF gets a 25 commit at or shortly after the cookout.
I need to find out where in Athens the recruits go so I can go recruit for the good guys. I already wear my Gator gear on campus and drive around with my Gator Georgia license plate.
Logged in to say “thank you”, and before you think this some small gesture, please understand that I have both a long username and a long password, type with 2 fingers, am tired and extremely lazy.
WR, CB X2, DL, OL: What, no guesses? I'll give it a whack although I have zero inside connections. Just going on bits and pieces: WR: Jeremiah Smith flip from tOSU or bust. I think UF likely filled the slot Mario Craver could have taken earlier in the recruiting season before UF made hard choices with others. CB: Zavier Mincey & Jamari Howard. I wouldn't be surprised if Mincey announces at or right after the BBQ. Hopefully he brings LJ McCray along with him this week. I have no idea where Howard is leaning, maybe Miami? Wardell Mack has been mentioned here in the past, but he is loaded up with CBs to Texas and LSU. DL: LJ McCray likely isn't spending time at UF now before the BBQ for nothing. He has also made a number of unofficial visits to UF. The other name who has been mentioned in the past is David Stone. I read months ago that CBN is personally handling his recruitment. That's some special attention for a high school player. Stone is likely a +1 regardless of when he chooses to commit. OL: No idea. Ory Williams picked up a slew of CBs to LSU over the last week. If a lower rated prospect, it'll for sure bring out the sky is falling crowd. Are there any transfer portal OLs who are worthy of consideration?
TOS is reporting Mcray was on campus yesterday for what it's worth. Given recent history it Feels like a troll job before Georgia to me but claims are it went well. Glad my opinion doesn't matter and it would be nice to see if the interest is sincere.
Did much the same during my time in Athens, would have some rather lively conversations in Hodgson's Pharmacy when I would stop by for what was then a .50 cent milkshake! I typically would find myself defending the ole ball coach, more so than UF football....(the ole ball coach back then, was really the primary source of ire for most Dawg fans!)
