The wife and I are in Missouri visiting her relatives and I am laying in a hospital bed as we speak. We were in Branson celebrating our 50th anniversary with her family and I had congestive heart failure. They are working on getting the fluid drained from my chest and lungs. They are also treating me with steroids for COPD symptoms. Anyway I just wanted to explain my absence from the board.
Hate to see this and very scary but glad you're in good hands. Wishing for a full and speedy recovery!
Aw man, hope you get it all worked out feel better. You’re in the right place to rest and heal. Let us know when you’re back on your feet.
Ugh. Sorry you are sidelined. Get better and back here soon. As a Gator, 2023 is good timing for heart treatment.... your best chance to keep a reasonable blood pressure will be this year's schedule. There are a few dates I'd still recommend turning the power off at your house though.
Sounds like you and your wife have gone through a lot the past couple of years. Hope you feel better soon.
Did you at least get to enjoy the entertainments of Branson before your unscheduled hospital visit? Feel better soon!
I had it too and with medication and some lifestyle changes I appear to be doing fine...knock on wood. Hang in there!
Went to Silver Dollar City Saturday and Dolly Parton's Dixie Stampede Saturday night. Mrs51's family are Ozark Mountain Hillbilies so we have been to Branson many times. Actually that is why we chose Branson for our anniversary trip. Branson was where we went on our honeymoon 50 years ago.
UF docs probably won't clear you to return, but we will still root for you after you transfer to Kansas State. Get better soon, buddy!
Best of luck to you. A friend had congestive heart failure on vacation. In the hospital, he peed away 30 pounds of water weight he'd accumulated. After some kind of shock treatment back home in Jax to get his heart rhythm back in line, he looked better than he had in 10 years. Lots of wishes in your direction.
Yes I think I have peed about 50 urinals full of piss in the last 3 days. It is amazing how much you pee once they start the treatment.
