That’s a revelation? I’ve been intolerant with the GOP for the past six years. I’m on record calling DeSatan a sadistic, fascist, racist, bigoted midget (to be faira tall one). All words that fit. Not name calling if it’s true.

You thinking it doesnt make it true. ;) But generalizations make you narrow minded.

    And what is faira*?

*Go grammar police on me once and I never forget. :D

He was adressing my post and I am far from wanting to return to any days where anyone was treated poorly or oppressed.

You are be-clowning yourself in channeling your inner Ben Carson
Ben Carson says being gay is a choice, citing prison example

a lot of people who go into prison straight, and when they come out they’re gay.”

Be careful not to confuse resistance to pushing the envelope with wanting to go back to a previous time. Not wanting sexuality taught to three year olds or drag queen story hour in a school or public library, does not equate to wanting to push people back into the closet or publicly abusive them.

I think it does, but it would take too may keystrokes to explain, so I will leave at that, unless I suddenly get motivated in the middle of the night, which has been known to happen.

In other words you're one of the very few remaining Eisenhower Republicans.

This is an excerpt from the 1956 Republican platform. It reflects a party that has very little in common with the Republican Party of today.
We believe that basic to governmental integrity are unimpeachable ethical standards and irreproachable personal conduct by all people in government. We shall continue our insistence on honesty as an indispensable requirement of public service. We shall continue to root out corruption whenever and wherever it appears.

We are proud of and shall continue our far-reaching and sound advances in matters of basic human needs—expansion of social security—broadened coverage in unemployment insurance —improved housing—and better health protection for all our people. We are determined that our government remain warmly responsive to the urgent social and economic problems of our people.

Reading comprehension is your friend. Read the whole thread. The claim is sometimes made that people can't be manipulated into being straight. I assume that is true, but gay people xan have straight sex due to a multitude of external factors.... So it seems fair to ask if a straight person could be let in a similarly opposite direction.

I have never once said someone is turned gay.

Which part? You deeply rooted intolerant posts?

Or being sat down after pointing out a misspelled word when you have a similar talent that the search feature unearthed in seconds?

Descartes disagrees, but that's all I will say to you, no appetite for the tedium and victimization

Well to be fair to me I didn’t make the same mistake after it was pointed out by another poster in the same thread.
    WINNING!

To be fair to me, I did not see that correction.

Descent and dissent are the same word phonetically. I just confused them in my brain this morning.

The point is grammar/spelling policing is just a silly strategy and none of us should stoop to it.

Descartes was referring to his own existence. He did not say “I think therefore it is.”
