The Gators tip off their season on the first possible date of the 2023-24 campaign, hosting Loyola Maryland on Monday, Nov. 6. I noticed there is not a Big12/SEC Challenge this year. Instead, there is an ACC/SEC Challenge game v Wake. What's the story behind this change?
Either that ACC wanted nothing more to do with the Big 10 (hexidecimal) or the Big 12 is now mostly in other leagues.
Virginia and Michigan lost a lot, and neither really seems to have improved. If we are even modestly better than last season (as you would expect in year two), then this slate shouldn’t be a killer. Baylor is the only team I would consider appreciably better than us.
I'm assuming it's going to be at the RP Funding Center, although I can't find any information on it. Very interested in going to that one. Kind of a unique venue compared to where we normally play.
