Because not a single person apologized for any rapist, and your attempts to be cute with your cavalier attitude towards rape is extremely insulting to the millions of women who have been victims to this heinous crime. well, I will say that if you were on that jury in New York, you would’ve been outvoted by all the other jury members who concluded that Trump did not rape the woman. Everybody is entitled to their own opinion, but not their own facts.

 

You can parse words and phrases and “Well acktually” this situation all you want, Trump is who he is and you have to deal with it.

out of curiosity…did you even know the context of the “grab em by the [cat]” comment? Contrary to what 99.9% of the left believe, Trump never claimed he grabbed anyone by the [cat]. What he said was “…when you’re a star, they let you do it. You can do anything.” To which the reporter asked “Whatever you want.” Trump then replied “Grab ’em by the pussy. You can do anything.”

Is this crude? Yes. Is he a pig? Yes. But his point didn’t appear to be directed as his conduct, it appeared to be directed towards a certain group of women who are willing to do anything for a wealthy/famous man. You may not like the manner in which Trump said it, but if you disagree with his premise about gold digging women, then say so and start a thread. But you don’t get to assert Trump in fact grabbed women by the [cat] based upon that conversation/incident…it’s just false.

Now, please start attacking me for defending Trump, which of course I’m not doing, but I’m sure some the lefties here are turning orange with anger because I just post the facts.

 

Are you still trying to rely on the gap between the New York definition of rape (forcibly inserting a penis inside a person) and the New York definition of sexual abuse (forcibly inserting any object other than a penis into a person) in claiming that he isn't a rapist? As the judge pointed out the New York offense of sexual abuse would count as dictionary definition of rape. So as long as you didn't claim that Trump committed the New York criminal statute version of rape, you would be correct to say he raped her, based on a general definition of the term.

 

that sounds too complicated for me. As a lawyer, I’m just gonna go with the jury verdict and call it a day.

As a lawyer, you think it is too complicated to look at the actual laws and compare it to the dictionary definition of a term?

This was a jury trial. The judge had nothing to do with weighing the evidence and “deciding” the truth. By nothing, I mean in percentage points: 0.0%.

 

Yes, the point is that, without saying it, you are trying to make it sound okay (and totally not rape) that he shoved something in her against her will, because she isn't sure if it was his penis or his fingers. And you are now trying to avoid that by claiming that it is too complicated to think about that fact.
