I can see a 500+ per seat increase over already existing seat fees for lower bowl chairbacks

    I guess you’re talking $500 per season?

I build staircases, so I understand rise and run a bit. Getting chair backs and having enough space to do so it’s quite an issue.

Of course if we are dramatically out talented then it won’t matter. But home field advantage still certainly exists and can be measured

    Upgrade the stadium lights
Add massive amounts of LEDs inside and outside the stadium

Exactly. That’s what matters for butts in the seats and atmosphere

But does the admin care about winning?

    Do they care about students?

Do they care about atmosphere and tradition?

Do they care about butts in the seats?

The answer is clearly no to all. They care about $. And $ in sports are premium corporate owned season tickets (boxes, suites). They may or may not go to the game. The attendees are almost certainty not going to give a crap about the game.

    So what?

Is the upgraded comfort of a most likely fair weather fan something we should care more about that the die hard that is happy to be jammed in?

There are really only two options: Gut and replace, or erector set over the existing. I can't imagine that $400M would accomplish the former, and I shudder to think about what the latter would do to the aesthetics of the stadium.

All good questions....and all we really have to go by is the answers we received re: the O'Dome where the answers were clearly "no" on all counts.

You mean jackhammer the poured concrete down to the structural steel on east and west sides and re-form and repour for less than 90 rows?
I imagine that would eat up all $400M if not more

I think that would eat up all of the $400M and a lot more and not be doable between seasons, which is why I'm concerned about what their "alternative" may be.

This insane. You want to win championships but going backwards to an Ole miss 0r Miss State size stadium is insulting. When I was senior in 1965 we had the largest crowd in homecoming history (42,000) expansion took us to almost 90,000...now we're going backwards. This plain sucks for Florida fans.

Save our stadium size/seating capacity, history... save our stadium from large people. :D;)

Should we start a campaign to get enough people to show up on a specific date to join hands and ring around the stadium to demonstrate our specific needs in this renovation? It could get their attention, attract national attention too, and do it early enough to actually impact the design decisions. Before it’s too late
