Am I the only one who is "meh" on D. Robinson? I don't see anything better/different about him vs the other four that are committed. I understand he is 0 or 1 tech guy but you really only need one of those in the game at a time. Plus LJ and Dealyn are still out there. LJ is significantly more versatile than Robinson and is a disrupter from multiple spots on the DL. Add in the DL from the 23 class and transfers -- CamRon, Caleb Banks, Gavin Hill, Searcy, Will Norman, Kamran and Kelby. Do we "need" Robinson? Nope.
Just a few years ago we would have killed for D. Robinson. Now we don't have room. I love college football.
Multiple reports (ok, they work for the other recruiting sites) and insiders saying UF has moved on from Ross. Said they like other guys better. Or something to that effect. I wouldn’t expect Ross in the class.
I've never expected him. We have limited space, and I would hope McCray would be the focus on the DL. But as far as body type, Searcy is the only guy in that 6'5 and under 250 lbs. with long reach that we have gotten in a few years. We got long DE/OLB frequently under Zook and Urbs.
Listen, im not saying we’re recruiting anywhere close to what the Bama’s, Clemson’s, and UGA’s have done on the DL but it’s crazy how much talking heads are pegging Kelby as the one in the front 7 that can contribute sooner than later but guys like TJ Searcy, Gavin Hall, and Kamran James are underrated to me. It feels great that if everything goes to how we want to, we dont have to rush them this year and let them redshirt
