I feel dirty in the presence of all the gushing about LegHumpers and corndogs and UcheaT . . . so here's a clip reminding us the proper state of the universe Florida is busy realigning:

In this one media poll, Florida was picked to finish 10th/14 in the SEC while Texas AM was picked 5th in the SEC. In all of these years going back to the 1980s, I have never seen such disrespect towards the Gators. Some in the media seem to be enamored by the Petrino/Fischer pairing at Texas AM while the Gator-hators seem to be projecting their true wishes.

In actuality for the 2022 season, Florida (3-5) was tied for 8th place in the SEC while Texas AM (2-6) was tied for 12th place (which was last in the SEC) along with Vanderbilt (2-6) & Auburn (2-6). There were many games last year where Florida was competitive but made some critical, bad play(s): like making a key turnover on offense (i.e, Kentucky, Tennessee, etc.) or not making 3rd down stops on defense (especially on 3rd & long) or sacking the quarterback to stop drives (i.e, LSU, FSU, etc.).

Along with a great win in the season opener against #7 Utah (29-26), Florida did have very impressive blow out wins against both Texas AM (41-24) & S.Carolina (38-6). Late in the season after those two great wins, it looked like that Florida was turning things around for the better only to have a huge let down game on the road to Vandy which eventually snowballed into three straight losses to end the season.

Last year, Florida was very competitive in most of their games but two of them (Georgia & Oregon St blowout losses). So, UF was close to having a good to great season if they made some breaks go their way.

The 2023 season will be a tremendous opportunity for the Florida Gators to prove many of these ney-sayers wrong! I think that if the defense can perform significantly better than the last few seasons along with greater consistency on offense, Florida should have a decent season.

The SEC has only stated that the east and west don't exist for season 2023... But I suspect they will make it a permanent thing.

I cannot state, emphatically enough, how fortunate I feel, that Billy Napier is the coach for UF.

I'm no insider, just a surface dweller watching, but gee wizz this man checks all the boxs (for me).

We as fans tend to dwell on the obvious: Recruitng, Performance on the Field and keeping the "Locker Room" in order.

Billy keeps talking about culture, creating a safe, productive and positive experience for the student athlete.

I actually believe it when Billy says it as compared to other coaches.

I undersand that UF (and all SEC fans) are performance driven, obssesively so, however IMO should the administration stand behind this good man, UF will most certainly prosper and soon.
