You mean, if he had just behaved rationally, honestly, ethically, and subordinate to the good of our country? Heck, if he had left office in 2020 with even a base sense of decency and honor, he would have a cake walk back to the White House in 2024. Instead, he acted like he always does because that is who he is.

Have you considered that he may be mentally ill? (Not that there's been any evidence of it!)

I would like to say this is shocking, but nothing is with this pos...Israel loaned ancient artifacts to the WH on the condition that they be returned. Trump took them to ML and has refused to return them...

Israel struggles to get Trump to return ancient artifacts stashed at Mar-a-Lago (msn.com)
Israeli newspaper Haaretz reports that Israeli officials have been trying without success to get the former president to return government-owned antiquities that were sent to the White House in 2019 on the condition that they be returned shortly afterward.

Not only were the artifacts not returned, but they were taken down to the former president's resort after he left the White House in 2021.

According to Haaretz, the artifacts included "ancient ceramic candles which are part of Israel's national treasures collection" and were shipped to the White House to be used at a Hanukkah candle-lighting event that was attended by Trump personally. The onset of the novel coronavirus pandemic snarled up efforts to have the artifacts shipped back, and Israeli officials only learned months ago that they were taken down to Mar-a-Lago.

"Current Director of the Antiquities Authority Eli Eskozido has contacted the Israeli Foreign Affairs Ministry, Strategic Affairs Minister Ron Dermer, and former U.S. Ambassador to Israel, David Friedman, asking them to aid in returning the items, thus far without success," writes Haartez. "It is unclear whether Trump himself is aware that the items are on the premises of his estate."

Let’s see what the charges are. They might be mail and wire fraud for raising money in this level of a lie. Although after reading the 1-6 Committee Report, the testimony is pretty damning.

Yes, I have, but until/unless he is diagnosed professionally in person, not by analysis, we can’t assume.

Andy McCabe on his podcast thinks that is the most likely, along with fraud on the United States re: the false electors. There was one more I don't recall. Not incitement

Yea, that was wild. Under the old rules of politics. Now, not so much. Netanyahu government won't even care - he gave them what they wanted

I can assume. I agree wholeheartedly with the late psychiatrist, columnist, and FoxNews commentator Charles Krauthammer that Donald Trump is "beyond narcissism."

Charles Krauthammer's passing may have marked the true demise of FoxNews.

I don’t disagree. What I mean is that he shouldn’t be let off the hook or given benefits of doubt based upon an assumed diagnosis.

I’ve always said this one was the real problem for Trump and if they’re out to get him, this is the low-hanging fruit. It’s hard to deny fake electors and calling states to find votes. He would have been fine if he had kept it at pressing the states to investigate fraud, but he went over the line.

IMO, the documents case is chicken feed compared to this one and this is the one that will take Trump out of the 2024 election. My belief is DeSantis will be the 2024 GOP nominee. His success or failure will depend largely on these two issues: the status of the economy and the status of the war in Ukraine in fall of 2024.

I think it will also depend on how many women turn out to vote against him.

It’s still such a low-ranking issue that DeSantis was able to win the female vote by 7 points in 2022. If a significant recession materializes or we have an undesirable outcome in Ukraine, those will be the polarizing issues, imo.

Rolling Stone has some of the details of Trump's target letter:

The letter mentions three federal statutes: Conspiracy to commit offense or to defraud the United States; deprivation of rights under color of law; and tampering with a witness, victim, or an informant. It does not offer further details, nor does it detail how the special counsel believes Trump may have violated the statutes, the source tells Rolling Stone.

What normal person wakes up in the morning and thinks, "I should be the leader of the free world and head the most powerful armed forces in history"?
They are all off the scale narcissists. You would have to be.

Is Trump significantly worse? I'll defer to the good doctor but don't fool yourself about the nature of politicians.
