Appreciate this! Not going to lie. I use to pull the grammar police back in the day. For the little I am good at lol.

And even though we disagree more often than not…I always appreciate your thoughts!!!

But it does lower your odds of dying from COVID. How is that bad? And what specific safety signals are there? What are their rates? And why would these signals be enough to outweigh the benefit of lowering the odds of death from the vaccine?

Seat belts don't prevent car accidents either. But I bet you put yours on every trip. Why? Because odds show a better chance of survival when you do.

Basically everyone has had Covid. If you want to take an archaic experimental shot for a disease that is not a threat to you. Go for it. If the disease is a threat to you. You likely have already taken the archaic shot and survived the disease.

Crazy you are more concerned about continuing to take a shot that has real safety signals that we know does not stop you from getting the disease. Verse why are we seeing so much more excess mortality now. Is it Covid. Is it Covid and the shot. Is it the shot.

You follow well my friend. Well for a small minority now.

As to your wife - people get Covid after shots. That is pretty normal at this point. The shots reduce the probability of severe illness. They don’t guarantee that if you get Covid again it won’t be “worse”. You can get pretty sick but it isn’t considered severe illness until you getting to something similar to hospitalization.

I am guessing if you have a friend, he is close to your age, and that persons father was pretty old. He could have died from many things.

It seems like I always hear these stories from anti vaxxers and skeptics. Meanwhile the rest of us have no stores like this.

Your position is silly. The shot lowers the risk of dying from COVID. Your own data you posted shows this. But because the shot doesn't prevent you from getting sick, it's ineffective?

If there was a shot with no significant side effects, didn't prevent disease at all, but lowered the odds of dying by a significant amount, would you not take it? And why? I would. No danger, and increases survival odds.

That's the COVID shot in a nutshell. Unless you have actual data on the side effects and safety signals that show otherwise?

Your position is the silly one that does not follow basic medicine. But if you want to ignore that reality. Go for it. Propaganda is extremely powerful and it has consumed you on this issue.

My friends father’s doctors are the ones who told him that the Covid vaccine was what caused his death. You can argue with them.
Same with the employees where my wife works, it was their doctors assessments, not theirs, mine nor yours.
    Go argue with them.
As far as being “anti-vax”, how did you come to that conclusion when I posted that both my wife and I had all the Covid vaccination shots? Or do you just “read” into a post what you want to believe?
We will not be getting any more Covid vaccine shots until we feel confident about them. At this point, I think we were scammed.

Excess mortality soaring in highly vaccinated countries. Well, at least nobody’s dying of Covid *sarcasm* …

Excess mortality soared in UK in concert with vaccine rollout. But at least nobody was dying of Covid!

I started this thread 3+ years ago but haven’t posted in it for a long time.

    Checks notes…..2 years later it’s the same conversation……shot good….shot bad…..

Wife and I had the Pfizer shot and a couple boosters.

2d booster was 2 weeks before Alaskan cruise in June 22. Picked that schedule b/c 2 weeks waiting was generally accepted period for maximum efficacy of booster.

    Needed vaccine to enter Canada.

Needed negative test to board ship in Vancouver. Done. Ship delayed 1 day due to mechanical issues. Covid test timed out. Whole ship had to re-test. Everyone tested negative again.

Boarded ship (small Silversea cruise) with less than 300 other guests, all vaxed and having tested negative not once but twice within 72 hours of embarkation.

Wife and I both had Covid 10 days later when we flew home from Anchorage (I started symptoms on short layover in Seattle and she got it from me).

Bottom line-we were learning about Covid while implementing novel treatments. No one-the CDC, either Trump or Biden administration, the WHO, should have been speaking in absolutes. Because we didn’t truly know. Trump wanted to ignore it “it’s under control” and Biden thought he could cure it with a vaccine. Both were wrong.

Our symptoms were mild and I’ll attribute that to the vax and our very good health and fitness. But it wasn’t an eradicative cure. Many others weren’t so lucky and died from the virus, but neither side had it completely right.

Show your proof. What safety signals are you talking about? What are the incident rates and outcome percentages? And why are these safety signals so bad that they v outweigh the positive aspect of three vaccine, which data clearly shows how many lives it saves?

If you can't even list the safety signals, you are the one not following basic science and medicine. You're making things up and following conspiracy crap.

Insert: “We could not have known” see if it flies …

“[] that wholesale testing would engender wholesale panic.”

“[] that wholesale panic would turn hospitals and nursing homes into killing fields.”

“[] that constant hammered-in fear would lead to people dying at home, of treatable ailments, for fear of contracting Covid in hospitals.”

“[] that instituting unprecedented nation lockdowns would be devastating to livelihoods and therefore lives.”

“[] that isolation stemming from lockdowns would be psychologically devastating.”

“[] that lockdowns would kill mom and pops while aggrandizing the Amazons and Wal-Marts.”

“[] that lockdowns would lead to deaths of despair and from violence.”

Nice theory. Any actual evidence that backs up the claim the vaccine is causing the excess deaths? Because plenty of evidence showing there even isn't correlation between vaccination status and higher likelihood of dying. No correlation, there can be no causation.

So what is causing the excess deaths? Well, in 2022, COVID was still the #4 leading cause of death in the US. And while some people who died of COVID were likely to die in 2022 regardless, the fact still remains that in the US, in 2019, almost nobody died from COVID. So, in 2022, the majority of COVID deaths would be excess.

Still, COVID alone doesn't account for all the excess deaths. There are other reasons. For example, in the UK, many treatable diseases that can cause death went untreated or undertreated during the pandemic. Many people didn't seek treatment, and with the pandemic taking up a ton of resources, there often weren't enough doctors and staff to treat others. As this study states, this is one of the causes of excess deaths.

There is no evidence that the vaccine is the cause of excess deaths. And plenty of evidence supporting that without the vaccine, we'd be experiencing more deaths. *coughs* You're full of crap

Given that there is no Covid, what do you suppose is causing staggering excess deaths ? Are you clasping your ears and singing La-La-La! to the possibility of vaccines ? Is this how you do science ? To have gotten them yourself and therefore cannot admit to the possibility ?
