Games You Think We Would Have Won In 2022 If…

I didn’t see what you saw. I saw a guy who had flashes of greatness, and some some bad moments. It led to inconsistent results, but I didn’t ever think he wasn’t trying. There were times I felt he had lost confidence, which might look like not trying, but it’s really more like shock or fear. As a former athlete, I understand that part of the game when you are in your own head. But it seems you want to believe that he wasn’t giving max effort, for some reason.

 

Anyone who didn’t start with THE DEFENSE, is just shoe-horning into more Anthony bashing. If you didn’t start there, then you didn’t really watch the games…Ohhhh…..did I mention ST ????

Because, he purposefully held himself back to ensure highest draft position without being injured. It was so obvious...perhaps the others did that as well..but his was so clear. The other working assumption is that CDM and CBN had no idea what to do with him or what they had as a QB...

The problem with last season was not AR. That should have been evident from our awful bowl game loss where we had to kick a fg with time expiring to save our shutout record…

 

How does it make sense to purposely hold back, which makes you look worse on the field, in order to get drafted higher?

 

The coaches may have prevented him from running as we had nothing behind him. He had no real starting experience, so was learning on the job. Lot different then a ki they had spent 3 years in your system and knows the playbook cold versus someone with new coaching staff, new playbook and limited game experience

 

This may be true. Coaches sometimes hold players back unnecessarily. I firmly believe that Tebow would have had a long NFL career if his coaches just let him throw the ball, but they all convinced themselves that a prolific college passer can’t throw a spiral because the media said it. Nevermind his ridiculously great college passing stats. So yes, it’s very possible that AR was not game planned well by the new staff. I’m not mad at them… I’m sure in hindsight both the coaches and AR would have done things differently.
