Should have been a death penalty.

So UT gets fined $8 million, and loses 28 scholarships over 5 years. Whoop de doo.

They will use NIL money to replace the lost scholarships, and Boosters will pony up the fine.

They could care less about Pruitt at this point.

But Mullen couldn't have contact with recruits for how long? Not that he would have anyway...

Different strokes for different folks. How is it florida suffered one of the worst probations ever while others built their programs on the backs of violations with little to no real punishment? Always been a tough pill to swallow

No one has really gotten any trouble in 20 years. Slap on the wrist and keep on going.

….The remaining years he and staff had under contract.
Clearly. Maybe he misunderstood the penalty.

That made me chuckle and then realized it happened.

To be banned from a bowl would hurt more than to be fined $8 million.

They would lose potential recruits and players would transfer out.

    I’m so happy
if you don’t cheat, you can’t win. If everybody that cheated was caught, everybody would be on probation. That is the best part about the new system is at least everybody gets to try to compete without being scared of being singled out like Tennessee just got singled out.

Amazing isn't it? And yet we struck out with two duds from the same regime. Well, muschamp could recruit he just couldn't get out of his own way on the offensive side.

Fred Taylor in a live interview said he took $50,000 from Georgia and then committed to Florida without giving the money back. Leon Oor said everybody was on the payroll. Everybody has been cheating all along, but like honor among thieves, there is some kind of etiquette.

I remember when TN had Trooper Taylor and he was getting kids into diploma mills to get them qualified to go to TN. TN is who we thought they is.

They should have hit UT where it really hurts and restrict Josh Huepel’s buffet access.

"There's a whole lot that we can do a whole lot better"

    - Heupel postgame after beating the Gators in Knoxville last year to go to 4-0 for the first time in a decade

"I'm really excited about the outcome"

    - Heupel after receiving NCAA sanctions for hundreds of adjudicated violations.

EDIT: Just to be very clear, I did not mix up those two quotes/situations above. They are labeled correctly.

Printed in stevotype for emphasis, I pledge not to make a habit of that
