Softball Transfer Portal

Lot of chatter about landing both Vawter and Maxwell, but I just want to land one before I start thinking about landing both of them.

 

This team is now loaded with an incredible amount of talent. If Maxell or Vawter join this group, Florida will become the new Oklahoma.
PS..TW has so many new good players coming in, I think Skylar and Kendra are the only returnees that are a lock as starters.

 

Might have to be as the DP but I don’t see how Walsh’s bat can be left out of the lineup, either.

 

Has everyone calmed down about Waltons "horrible transfer portal use" now

 

You know, I'm starting to believe that TRW had checked out once he figured he was getting the Texas job and figured that he didn't need to recruit for Florida since he wouldn't the coach. It take a year or two to get back and this years class, next year's class and the recent success in the portal are the fruits of his labor.

The best thing for us is that he has a chip on his shoulder, he amasses all this talent, beats OU and wins a Natty and that's would be a big FU to the administration at Texas. Not to mention pulling the Gatorade Player of the year who happens to be from.....Texas!

 

I'm going crow hunting today just to be ready for the Vawter signing; because that's the one I'll have to eat crow on. Lol

I have already resigned from the Whiny Babies Club and will be feasting on Chateabriand Crow for dinner.

 

When will the tournament be over? When is Walton back?

 

Supposed to end tomorrow but today's games have be canceled, at least at this point, due to rain. I don't know if that means they are going to try to get them in later today, move them to tomorrow and the championship to Sunday, or just not play them at all. Edit: They will play only the Australia/Taipei game today. I assume because they need that game to determine who plays in the 3rd place game tomorrow. The rest of the day isn't needed as we are locked in to play Britain and Georgina Corrick in the championship game tomorrow.

 

I said when she hit the portal that if she didn't sign with OU I'd eat my computer. At this point it looks like I'm going to have to dust off the chromebook because the main PC is going to go down byte by byte.

 

Liberty pitcher Karlie Keeney is going to Oklahoma. That leaves Vawter & Maxwell as the remaining elite pitchers in the portal.

Keeney is Avery good pitcher BUT I would take Vawter and Maxwell over her every time. Hoping for the best before the weekend is over.

I swore I wouldn't get my hopes up and here I am with my hopes up. dadgummit

 

The anticipation is agony. Hope we all get what we're hoping for.

 

So, while some rumors have both Vawter and Maxwell coming....rumors being what they are.....but I can't figure out why either one of them would want to pair up with both on the same team for their last year. Particularly in our situation where you know that Ava and Keagan are going to have to get some substantial innings so they can develop.
