I have to disagree. The players state that no hazing went on... They acknowledge that there was an investigation into certain activities that were alleged to be hazing, i.e. there was some activity that was not hazing. Coach Fitzgerald only learned of the alleged hazing (activities that, the players contend, were not actually hazing) during the investigation. Given some of the more lurid references to what those activities that were allegedly hazing involved certainly leaves one puzzled, but the statement makes sense.
Maybe.... Upon re-reading it, it doesn't say they allegations weren't warranted, it says that they were twisted and blown out of proportion. So I guess it makes some sense the way they said it. But yeah, I'm left puzzled. I'm sure we'll probably find out soon enough...
I think Twitter did themselves a disservice by limiting their content when I can literally spend all day every day on YouTube and never run out of free content.
They just want you to at least create a free account, right? I still ain’t doing it, but the average person can still see what they want for free, right? You can navigate youtube without a profile, but it’s much easier to navigate if you are logged in, and you can just use your google credentials so it’s not too hard.
Northwestern elevates David Braun to interim coach for 2023 in wake of Pat Fitzgerald's firing, per report
The Kentucky Basketball video comes to mind when they held Anthony Davis down and slapped him on his bare cheeks in the locker room for his birthday.
Fitz got Durkin’d, as he is CEO of football team and ultimately accountable. The Penn State player hazing and abuse under Franklin’s watch was worse than at NW.
The university announced Foster's dismissal in a statement from athletic director Derrick Gragg. Foster's ouster arrives after a Chicago Tribune report found current and former players, alumni and people close to the baseball program accused Foster of problematic behavior dating back to last fall, when the first-year coach joined the program. The complaints prompted an internal investigation that revealed “sufficient evidence” Foster “engaged in bullying and abusive behavior," according to a university document obtained by the Tribune. Per the document, Foster "made an inappropriate comment regarding a female staff member, and spoke negatively about his staff to other staff members.” The document didn't go into further details about the complaints, the Tribune reports. Sources close to the program told the Tribune that Foster would direct expletive-laced tirades at his staff and pressured players to return early from injury or risk losing their spots in the lineup.
As I recall, Fitzgerald had some good years there as head coach early on. That's when he should have moved on to something better, but chose to stay, only to descend to 1-11 his last year and to getting fired under hazy circumstances.
