yep. As per usual, folks just gotta pay attention to which uncommitted prospects make the BBQ. That shows an insight in who the staff is REALLY after and which recruits really are interested in UF
which started to bite him in the end when he'd take kids early and fill out his class and when they didn't progress in their senior year of HS, he rarely would push kids out but in turn he was bringing in kids who had already peaked in HS
This is unprecedented for UF. Just wish they could sign earlier. Maybe have an EESD, extra early signing day right before the season.
You know....I was wondering that. I know that's tough because you're dealing with grades before a kids senior year but your general idea of a signing day before your senior year is something i've thought about. Another thing, if you sign with a school and then want out of your LOI, you have to sit out your first year in college no matter what the circumstances is
The last time we've had a class this good committed this early would have been right after Friday Night Lights in 2017 when McElwain had loads of talent committed... Jamarr Chase, Matt Corral, and Dameon Pierce just to name a few... just before the whole thing went up in flames and he got fired.
This reminds me of an odd coincidence. In the last few years our recruiting was slow and uneventful, and in the end we lost...out on some great victories... in recruiting. And our defense mirrors that recruiting in that we start out slow... giving up tons of yards in a bend-over-and-break defensive scheme... only to lose the game... on defense. Now we have a DC that is balls to the wall fast and aggressive, and he wants to get after the opposing teams' offense and disrupt their ability to take control of the game... of recruiting. He's forcing turnovers... of players that might want to go to other schools and we're now scoring victories... in recruiting again. It's nice to be on the winning side of these games for a change.
He appears to be a near zero post guy who's been around for a while, whose only stated opinion is that the opinions of others are largely irrelevant. At least he's just a topic nazi and not one of our closet nole trolls.
Interesting, our record has been @.500, yet Napier has been effectively recruiting. His coaches and the rest of his army are working their tails off. The recruits realize they are a part of something huge!!!
