I have some anonymously that make believe is given such reverence in this country.. Not sure why it needed to even be explicitly stated in 1A, as it falls under freedom of speech and assembly. Hearing is not the same as feeling vibrations of sound. My point is not nonsense just because you see it differently. You can not explain hearing a sound to someone who has never been able to hear one. Pretend I am deaf. Now using a keyboard, explain to me what hearing is. What noise is. You can't. Yet sound is clearly not a made up concept.

They won't say it out loud, but some here would. Regardless, all values come from somewhere. Yours, mine etc. ALL votes effect the loser and the winner. So if you dont want votes having a negative impact on people, then dont cast one
Hearing is the ability to translate vibrations into sound. The ear doesn’t better and there is a good argument that can be made that the inner ear is part of the brain. There is quite a bit of processing that goes on decoding the vibrations.
When you mask hate of people who are different than you and call it religious freedom that is just bizarre to me.

Yes by voting among other things. So just because people vote for it, that makes it ok? If Muslims vote to throw gays off of buildings, we should all just accept it and move forward? Generally our history of voting has been to expand rights. The religious right often wants to vote to restrict rights, unless it infringes with their religion then they want to expand them.
Not to speak for @tampagtr, but the political "christians" are the ones that are trying to legitimize discrimination and embed christianity in our government. 'Political christians' probably is not a well agreed upon phrase.
No, I suspect they are deluded but I don’t hate them. When a business refuses to do a service because of sexual orientation, what would you call this?
So some extremists still think slavery should be allowed, do you think they should be able to enslave people because they believe it’s biblically allowed? Of course you don’t. The question becomes where should we draw the line.
I also hope when we are accepted as the majority that we respect the rights of the deluded more than they respect ours. My guess is we are close to a plurality now. I expect we will be the majority in about ten years.
Can somebody have that view towards non-Christians without it being considered "hate?" Are they refusing to serve individuals because of their sexual orientation? or Are they refusing to serve an idea for a product regardless of the customer's sexual orientation?
