There was an investigation in 2014, which ended in absolutely nothing, likely because Burisma paid off Shokin. If anything, the 2015 meeting to prevent further investigations might be because Hunter had inside information that the US was going to pressure Ukraine to fire Shokin, and his replacement might not be as amenable to being paid off. But when do the facts mean anything to the Rs these days?

And during the impeachment hearing, many testified that Lusenko was a known liar and only out to further his own career. That Lusenko? Hunter is a troubled person with substance abuse issues. Not a fan. But facts are facts. Burisma wasn't under investigation when Hunter came to the board. And there is a ton of evidence that shows Lusenko to be c completely untrustworthy.
