Who has deals with multiple networks? The deal we got gave our conference it’s own channel plus they broadcast our games on all of their other channels, and give us access to a ton of content we never used to have access to via an industry best APP. You ever used the fox, or cbs apps? You think we’d have access to a quarter of the content we get now if we’d done a deal with one of them? What would you prefer?
And I could give a rats ass how good Danny Wuerffel is going to be five years from now when he is in the NFL. We want to know if he’s going to win a Heisman Trophy in a national championship right now
It’s a business and I would honor my contract if you make me. But on the next go round, you can kiss my ass.
Big Ten Conference Nets Multi-Network TV Rights Deal Fox, NBC and CBS to air conference's college football, college basketball games in seven-year deal that cuts out ESPN
I guess I don’t see why they should renegotiate because we changed the terms. The deal was good for us when we signed, and we’ll get to negotiate again when this deal is up. That’s not the only point either, he complains about everything ESPN. So, I’m asking, who would he prefer we signed a deal with and what would be better for us as the end user?
Thanks. I knew they got more money, didn’t realize it was across multiple networks. I don’t watch much other than the gators. Do you think this deal is better for the end user? Do BIG fans have the same type of access to all sports that we do?
I guess you don’t know the deal. It’s not good before Texas and Oklahoma. Big ten gets twice what we get.
We watch what the team that our school can pay for. They have more money now than we do. I understand the school doesn’t pay and the payroll is on the fans but what the boosters give to the players, they aren’t giving to the school.
So does the BIG and the Big-12... plus they have other networks. We only have ESPN... and they're screwing us in the 2024 season.
Fair enough, I knew the BiG got a better deal, but we’d already done our deal at that point and I’m pretty happy with all the access to Gator sports that I never had before.
They have us at half price. Someone should lose their job. Their days of negotiating tv deals should be over.
