Would a liberal Democrat be … this guy ?

    upload_2023-7-12_13-9-1.jpeg

True story: last time I was driving through SF (currently the best way to see SF) several years ago, I stopped at a convenience store and a guy was hawking Che t-shirts outside the store.

Incredibly stupid post considering he survived a ridiculous recall with 61.88% of the vote and was just reelected with 59.18% of the vote.

I am curious as to how you eat at a restaurant with a mask on. Do you order, then have your meal blended, and suck it up through a straw, or is there some other way of doing it?

Reminds me of the guy that was like "everyone hates Pritsker" in Illinois, even though his approval is well above water.

Is there any chance he'll announce for the presidential election? I don't know about his policies, but he certainly has a long resume in elected politics to peruse.

I don’t hold him in contempt because he broke his own Covid rules. Clearly he didn’t act as though there was anything to fear. No, I hold him in contempt for his Covid rules.

Yeah that's the thing. All shine and polish....

.... $%@#$% all for substance or results.

(...of course, you like China Joe, so no surprise here, that you'd pick up your pom poms for another empty suit--at least the suit is pressed right? Nice creases in the pants n such...LOL!...)

And yet he was reelected with over 59% of the vote ironically roughly by the same margin as Ron DeSantis in Florida.
California's Newsom wins 2nd term, is White House run next?

And as I pointed out he was reelected by the same margin as DeSantis in Florida so I guess it's accurate to say that Floridian are getting the government they want and they’re getting it good and hard.

Unfortunately California is a one-party state due to demographics.
And all powerful state unions are beholden to Gov Hairdo.
But there are many reasons we tried to recall him too.

As always, it depends on who you ask. I certainly wouldn’t put it this way, but I would also guess that I wouldn't be on the list of people you would ask.

...like people who live in Florida?

Florida voters still like Ron DeSantis as Governor — and side with him over Disney

But independents are the fence in his battle against the House of Mouse.
For the moment, Florida voters still support the job Gov. Ron DeSantis is doing — including his war on Disney.

New polling from the Florida Atlantic University Mainstreet PolCom Lab shows Floridians remain positive about DeSantis’ work as Governor. About 54% of voters say they approve of “the way Ron DeSantis is handling his job as Governor of Florida.” A strong plurality, 41%, say they strongly approve.

Well I do live in Florida too, but your point was exactly @VAg8r1’s point: Newsome is just as popular there as DeSantis is here. Yet for some reason, we’re concluding that only one of those stats is indicative of a positive situation.
