In a late night filing, Trump's lawyers made a motion to delay the trial until after the 2024 election.

But of course they did. Let's see how the corrupt judge handles it.

If it's all bs, why are they afraid to take it to trial?

    Meanwhile in Georgia..... https://apnews.com/article/trump-georgia-election-investigation-grand-jury-0cfd32492da81697879b8c8ac00f8c83

ATLANTA (AP) — A grand jury being seated Tuesday in Atlanta will likely consider whether criminal charges are appropriate for former President Donald Trump or his Republican allies for their efforts to overturn his 2020 election loss in Georgia.

Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis has been investigating since shortly after Trump called Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger in early 2021 and suggested the state’s top elections official could help him “find 11,780 votes,” just enough needed to beat Democrat Joe Biden.
Sorry, just saw River's post in the other thread.

Looks like the NJ taped conversation is being added to the charges, as well as trying conceal video evidence.

Prosecutors announced additional charges against Donald Trump on Thursday in his alleged hoarding and hiding of classified documents at Mar-a-Lago, accusing the former president and a newly indicted aide of trying to keep security camera footage from being reviewed by investigators and bringing the number of total federal charges against Trump to 40.

Trump already faced 31 counts of illegally retaining national defense information, but federal prosecutors led by special counsel Jack Smith have added a 32nd to the list. That count centers on a now-infamous conversation Trump allegedly had at his golf club and summer residence in Bedminster, N.J., in July 2021, focused on what has been described by others as a secret military document concerning Iran.

The new indictment also levels accusations of a broader effort by Trump and some of those around him to cover their tracks as the FBI sought to retrieve highly classified documents kept at Mar-a-Lago, Trump’s home and private club, long after his presidency ended. The indictment charges that Trump and two aides, Waltine “Walt” Nauta and Carlos De Oliveira, requested that another Trump employee “delete security camera footage at the Mar-a-Lago Club to prevent the footage from being provided to a federal grand jury.”

Orders to destroy evidence goes over very well in court as I understand. What a shit show Mar-a-Lago is.

The new indictment alleges that on June 27, 2022, De Oliveira met with a Trump Organization employee in an audio closet at Mar-a-Lago and asked that person — unnamed in the indictment — to delete the security camera video sought by prosecutors in a grand jury subpoena days earlier.

“De Oliveira told [the employee] ‘the boss’ wanted the server deleted,” the new indictment alleges. The employee “responded that he would not know how to do that, and that he did not believe he would have the rights to do that,” the indictment adds.

Commentators saying they set a classic trap for Trump by asking for the surveillance tapes. It's a slam dunk conviction for Obstruction even if he somehow gets off on the underlying charges.

It’s not a trap. It’s normal proof. Especially when they didn’t get all the documents back the first time and got a certification that everything had been returned. He set these 2 idiots up.

The indictment does not allege that the footage was actually deleted, and authorities have said in court papers that the security camera footage they received provided critical evidence in their case.

If they did try to delete things and simply started highlighting things and hitting delete, they are going to get rekt by forensic analysts.

Caught ordering the destruction of subpoenaed evidence? More proof that this is the biggest witch hunt in the history of the World.
