You can partially thank the Publix insurrection funding heiress for this.

The mainstream media, you know, like the WSJ, are out to get DeSantis....

Opinion | Florida’s Immigration Law Is a Misfire

Thank you DeSantis for further pressures on labor and wage inflation. As if the skyrocketing insurance issues weren't enough....

I'd think Florida is destined to have a California real estate problem eventually. There is only so much beach access even though there's tons of it in florida. There really isnt a way to fix that.. its capitalism by design.

I’ve been a dedicated Publix customer for most of my life. From a kid in tampa to when I moved to atlanta, but the prices are getting absurd. Target groceries are significantly cheaper and the Aldi by my house is super nice.

appears from the article the primary cause of the inflation is tampa and Miami real estate skyrocketing. Comparing Miami and tampa/Clearwater to Minneapolis for inflation??? Might as well compare it to Detroit. I agree that Florida will have the Cali problem soon.

Then should tell the Jenkins family their company was sold and where they can pick up their $40B check, because they still think they own it.

Even worse, he's 33 points behind Trump according to the RCP averages nationwide. "Make America Florida" ... no thanks ...

I was told by someone that is a publix manager that there was new management in place and the family was no longer in control. Sorry if that is incorrect. He listed a whole range of things that had been changed with regard to how they are compensated. Need to dig deeper I guess to figure out what changed

I feel like Publix price increases are way out of line with other chains.

I did some searching as well and haven't seen anything as of yet either. Still Jenkins family. Now maybe his family members have changed the way things are ran ala Sam Walton and the antithetical way his kids sold out.

Shopped in Publix today and will continue to do so. They are less than 5 minutes from my house. Clean stores and lots of choices compared to Aldi which I also like.
