Got Korbe Otis and Brooke Barnard this week. Two impact transfers this next week would be awesome, particularly if one or both are pitchers.
Give me Vawter or Maxwell, anyone else with one of those is gravy to me. One of those to lead the two freshman and we are contenders.
Erickson is said to have a visit scheduled here. Her and Walsh were on the same travel club I belive.
She visited a couple of weeks ago with her parents. I ran into her and her family one morning at the Gainesville airport - they we're heading back home.
Taking this with a grain of salt. Keagan recently followed Vawter and Erickson on instagram. Also Lindsay fico has was at a couple of camps. is it possible she's the 4th assistant. I keep hearing it's a former player.
I’m hearing some whispers that it’s Francesca Enea which would be a great staff addition for the Gators.
That would be absolutely fantastic. I mentioned her a couple weeks ago. She'd be perfect. Her personality is likeable yet brutally honest. Not gonna get my hope up, not gonna get my hopes up........
While that would be great, I just don't see it. She has two little kids. Her husband is a talking head in Orlando. She has her own broadcasting career that is taking off. Put all of that together and I don't see why she wants the job in Gainesville although she is a Gator through and through and I'll bet if she turned it down it would cause some angst in her.
Also have heard some whispers about Bailey Castro, who has previous coaching experience at Palm Beach Atlantic.
Yep. Enea's husband is Christian Bruey, one of the sports anchors at WFTV, ABC Channel 9 in Orlando. He proposed to her on the softball field before her senior day game. No doubt it would be a big decision for her if she's offered the job.
Lots of better ex-Gators to pick from, I'm sure. Ocasio would be a way better pick.. she said she wants to coach. I like the Enea rumor..
I saw an old video of when he proposed to her on the field. It was great. She is just a super Gator and Walton has always credited her with really putting his program on the map. She was from California and the first really big commitment. She set the tone for what was to come. And she was an assassin at the plate. I don't think she ever, not even once, got cheated on her swing.
I second the question about Castro! She was the heart of our championship teams, always at the center of encouraging and advising others. A great choice thank you.
Bailey Castro is the co-founder and co-owner of BC Sports in Wellington, FL in Palm Beach County. I highly doubt she would give up this business she started to come to UF.
