CC is one of three two way contract players a NBA team can maintain on their roster. Pippin Jr had this type contract last year for Lakers and is not currently on Lakers roster. Need to show potential in first year as developmental player or likely in International ball thereafter. Size helps differentiate but D and to become more physical will be needed to stay in NBA

It surprises me that Pippen Jr. didn't make a roster. He was damned difficult to contain as a collegian. I'll never understand the NBA.

Guess you mean Austin Reaves. Yeah, he is something else. Maybe he'll wake up some of the "classic" guys.

Colin had a good summer league game tonight against the Spurs. He had 18 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists & 4 blocks.

Fudge came in early and had 3 good plays right off the bat too.
3pt, steal and nice dunk, drew charge.

He's playing high level basketball, too. His pic and roll, screening, and passing is very underrated. The style he is playing would make almost any guard want to play alongside him. To my eye, he seems significantly better than last year... almost as if he wanted to play a more facilitating brand of basketball. I don't think that 2-way contract is going to last if he keeps this up.

The way he's been playing in the summer league he might get an opportunity with the Lakers more than expected this coming season

maybe the NBA saw that his game was based around drawing phantom calls and wouldn't get the same benefit in that league

The first principle is that you must not fool yourself by reading a thread backwards.

I tried to watch the game last night, made it through about a quarter. It’s just god awful me first let’s rain threes from everywhere basketball.
CC was doing everything right and had the highest iq on the floor, setting screeens, defensive rotations, they even had him initiating the offense, but his interior defensive deficiencies against quality players seemed apparent last night too. Boston really attacked him.
