Tre is having arguably the best summer league of anyone so far. That counts for something - a chance to prove himself in the NBA this coming season. Then it's up to him to perform, but this is as good of a confidence boost that he or the coaching stuff could have hoped for. This isn't the regular season, not by a long shot, but it's still very positive after the way he declined last year.

Watching Key and Tre on the court together again right now for OKC. First time since the collapse. The announcers have mentioned the incident a couple of times throughout the broadcast and I don't think they have put together that Tre and Key were teammates, let alone, that Mann was on the floor during the incident. I think Tre was actually the first one to start jumping up and down to alert that something bad had happened.

Key had a nice alley-oop dunk early in the 3rd quarter. Definitely looks like an NBA player out there.

i was born and raised in okc, so i know im biased towards the thunder.

sincere question though: where are you getting this notion that okc fans (or the coaches / organization) have been mean or unfair towards tre? are you using random twitter nobodys as your support? do you frequent thunder message boards or listen to thunder podcasts?

maybe im too far in the thunder weeds, but i think you would be surprised by thunder fan support of tre. it's just a numbers crunch when it comes to the guard position. last year was a perfect time for tre to go off, he struggled some. what happened was jdub went crazy and almost won rookie of the year. then we drafted cason. thunder fans love tre though.

I read the OKC Thunder message boards and Tre Mann related social media posts. A lot of Thunder fans hating on Tre.

could you dm me the message board links you're referring to?

im interested to see if they're hating on him, or stating the current situation as i and tampajack mentioned above.

Tre needs to get playing time ti be successful. Can’t get yanked in and out for 4 minutes of playing time

im not saying you're wrong, but it's not like he was only getting 10 mpg. several backcourt players have missed time over the last 2 seasons. tre has had his opportunities. i still have faith he can have a bounce back season this year.

If you Google OKC Thunder forum it's the first one that pops up.

it's all good. i did google several forums looking for hate towards tre, just saw fans and bloggers praising him for his summer league play. as well as stating that the backcourt is loaded and it will be the survival of the fittest.

again, the overwhelming majority of thunder fans are cheering for tre and know he has skill. the reality is the thunder has a treasure trove of 1st rd picks and a load of young prospects who have shown they can play at the nba level. it's unfortunate that some of the young prospects will not be with the team in 5 years, same as every franchise...

That is not accurate. Some did praise him, but there is probably more hate for him in OKC. They've been trashing him since he got there, and for the most part only see him as a bench player.

He had a triple double recently and then gets a few minutes in the next two games. I don't read a lot into that.

I’ve been paying attention to his career there and the fan sentiment, so I’m basing my opinion over much more than what you just stated.
