Elijah Moore to FSU

I was actually just thinking this thread is a great candidate for a fishing thread or maybe even a triscuit thread, or if we're really feeling frisky a good ol MJ vs Lebron debate, haven't had one of those in awhile.

 

And Here I am thinking I've done well to make it past 3 decades (will be 4 in 6 days) and here you go moving the goal post on me.

Just a thought here... why can't UGA and FSU suck equally bad? Who cares which one is more of a rival. We younger ones (relative term, younger that SOS) used to think FSU was our biggest rival... until SOS set us straight on that deal. Me personally I despise them both equally as much.

 

Exactly. To each their own. For me the top tier of disliked schools/fans is Fsu, Georgia, Tennessee and Miami. Fsu pretty much stays 1a for me but they rotate depending on how mouthy they get with success. For most of the 90s for example Fsu and Tennessee were the two game that were going to decide our SEC and national results so they were more heated than Georgia games. It only took the 97 and 2007 games to show why Georgia SHOULD be our top rival because their fans were obnoxious after both of those games and of course nothing needs to be said about them right now.

 

UGA always has been, and always will be, our biggest rival. If we can only pick one “must have” game to keep on the schedule each year, it must be UGA. But, FSU is still the most hated …by me anyway.

At least with UGA, I view them somewhat as equals. There is maybe even some small level of respect there. There is absolutely none for FSU. They are not equals. I don’t want them eating at the same table as us. I don’t want them thinking they have the same opportunities as us. I don’t want to mix our UF dna with their dirty dna. You can even call it collegiate sports discrimination. I don’t care. I hate there existence and want them to always feel inferior.

UF dominated prior to probation years. I think we won 5 in a row late 70s to early 80s. Spurrier surprisingly had a losing record versus FSU and Bowden. FSU had some consistently good teams at that time.

 

I like the plan Rick. I'm going to bring Georgia down to the least common denominator in my head. They officially suck equally now.

 

Moore should have just stayed in high school for 13th grade where there is a much higher level of competition than that FSU schedule.

 

You guys are arguing over the merits of herpes or syphilis....

 

Plus, they beat LSU on a blocked extra point.

 

I think that only 3 coaches beat Bowden 5 or more time. SOS and Coker beat him 5 times and Paterno 6 or 7 times.

I’d like to see us alternate playing FSU and Miami home-and-home. That way, we can play Miami when their program is down because many times we play them when they are good.

FSU had a game already under their belt when they played LSU last year and I think that helped.

 

And a bunch of sloppiness on both sides.

 

I’d rather be good and play them when they are good too. I like good football games between two good teams where the outcome isn’t a given. I have no desire to watch us clobber inferior teams to pad a record and make it seem better than it really is. 52-20 is how it should be if you want paying customers to come.

That’s what happens when you have a Heisman trophy quarterback, and three NFL receivers on the same team.

 

Royally pissing off Steve Spurrier and then giving him a few weeks to prepare for a rematch surely ain’t gonna do you any favors either.
