Watching the draft and OKC got him. Congrats, and glad he never gave up!

Tre Mann is teetering on the edge at OK City. He has guaranteed money, I believe, but he, arguably, was the worst player on OK City last season. He needs to up his game.

I hope Tre escapes OKC. He’s not their worst player… not even close… but they are invested in the trio of Shai (rightly), Giddey (I hate his game), and Dort (good player). There’s not much room for Tre, unfortunately. He struggled a little bit last year, but OKC media and fanbase are waaay overblowing it. I was hoping the Warriors would scoop him up after moving Poole, but that was a pipe dream. Tre just needs a better opportunity.

His overall stats, including advanced stats, were the worst of any player out of the 19 players who got playing time for OKC. He needs to improve.

Imagine this: If on that same night you were guarding the opposing team's assist machine and leading scorer, and put him on lockdown for the entire game, then you maybe you greatly effected your team's chances of winning-

Yep, that's kind of why I think I played a good game. I was also playing out of position at forward and center. We had other guys who were intent on playing point guard, and it was my first game with a new team, and new season, so I wasn't trying to get into a pissing match. I'm only 5'10" guarding guys 6'3" and above, so I was happy with my performance.

You play forward and center at 5-10?

Um, I am sure you could get a full ride scholarship to UGa if you want...

I really like this viewpoint. We talk almost exclusively about offensive production. But shaving 15 points off the opponent's leading scoring is almost like scoring 15 yourself.

This post brought to you by "Frank Martin and Bob Huggins walk into a bar and talk basketball strategy"...oh wait, too soon.

Lol. No, I don't normally play forward or center... I played forward and center on Wednesday in my men's league game. Very rare that I don't play the 1 or 2.

You could argue that Heat lost finals primarily due to differential in scoring of guards. The Nugget center was dominant but Heat were abused by lack of guard scoring with exception of game they won.

Happy for KJ. If did not have that terrible fall or illness, likely a first round pick. Now an older player entering NBA. Older than 8 of us current Thunder teammates. Will not have as many years to earn money or get to 2nd or 3rd contract in NBA, if sticks. Good value pick for Thunder. Wish him great success and health doing what he loves.

Really happy for KJ… regardless of how good of a pro he becomes. Not chasing his dream would have tortured him for life. No matter what happens, he made the right choice for his own sanity.

He’s a solid summer league player. That’s for sure. He also statistically and for all other purposes probably was the worst player on the Oklahoma City roster last year. When I get a chance, I can post his stats compared to everyone else’s, but you can be assured that they pretty much were the worst on the team in practically every single category. Hopefully, his summer league performance leads to his doing better in the NBA next season, but there is no certainty with respect to that.

Riddle me this, Batman... so the 1st and 2nd pick in the draft, Wemby and Miller are looking pretty wack out there tonight, but Tre was the best player in all of Summer League and it doesn't count? Same level of competition. The reality is that Tre is a bad fit with OKC. They don't want him and don't appreciate him. They are all-in on SGA, Giddey, and Dort... not to mention Isaiah Joe. Tre needs a new team.
