Bama’s defense has been suspect of late. UGA just out-athlete everyone with a good game manager that can create on his feet when needed. That’s gonna be our formula as well with Mertz.

It takes both but the great qbs in the last decade have dropped 40 if not 50 on the top defenses. If you don’t have a great qb in that situation, it’s over. Georgia may have held lsu ‘s offense to 40… maybe.

They didn’t figure anything out, the qbs and offenses went to the draft.

Well they learned to flop injury to slow down the tempo offenses. And of course more tweeners that can run sideline to sideline.

It'll be interesting to see how this sort of thing goes in the NIL Era. We're already hitting our boosters up for big time money...to pay unproven HS kids. As soon as NIL blew up, my first thought was that it would kill capital fundraising for big projects like this. It's the same people being asked to give. The pool of donor resources varies from school to school (and I would consider ours top 10 nationally), but it is finite.

It's simple... I know they will cut down some seating capacity. I hope it's closer to 2,000 than 8,000. That's all...

2000 wouldn’t get very many real seats added. I’m thinking most of alumni will have seats..

If we don't touch our seating capacity we will still sellout every 2024 home game... That home schedule is awesome!!! And every home game with Lagway will be sold out too.

Let's make our fat game patrons lose weight instead of destroying our seating capacity. :D:)

I can’t make my ostrich legs fit no matter what. Either both legs to one side or spread eagle. Heck with it, I just stand.

When you get a great qb and three nfl receivers, you get 52-20 . That defense was loaded too but it doesn’t matter.

And those toy seats you can rent feel like a kindergarten chair and I feel like I’m going to fall off the front the whole time. I want a nice silver chair like the big boys in the endzone.

wouldn’t that be nice? But not that easy. The school cannot use funds for NIL so cannot be involved with raising or holding that money for NIL / interest for NIL.

someone like Gator Victorious would have to convince the boosters and alumni to raise the $400 million for NIL instead of stadium renovations. And while having a $400 million budget would almost certainly buy years and years of elite recruits and presumably championship type rosters/teams, seems many of the boosters prefer to spend their money on what seems to be more tangible things (football complex, soon to be renovated stadium with more comfortable seating or whatever) and long lasting university upgrades vs recruiting. Can’t say I blame them I guess, it’s their money.

But never repeated. The sustainable way is still elite defense.
