Idk man, Bama had NINE 5 stars in the 2023 class to go along with 18 4 stars. 9 freaking 5* commits. Seems like their pockets got deeper last season. Saban was on a mission last cycle for sure
Saban called out his boosters after Jimbo schooled him in recruiting in 2022 and they delivered. I don't think it was any special efforts by those "outstanding" Bama recruiters. Hopefully there will be a mass exodus after this year similar to what happened at A&M, but I'm not holding my breath.
Yup. The guy that said Bama never bought a recruit followed that statement up with that class. You do not beat a field of "cheaters" without cheating. Total bs
The pattern i am seeing , at least to some degree is the year after each team spent a shit ton of money on a class the following year has been a bit down. A&M didnit first, the next year no where close to replicating, miami last year, nowhere close to the buzz they generated last cycle and sonar the same with Bama. They have been surprisingly quiet (for Bama standards) so far on the trIl this year with what 9-10 commits so far and a ranking in the 20's. Now I would be surprised of they didn't vault up the rankings but so far they too are following that trend.
Th e ones that don’t make the two deep usually transfer but the leftovers aren’t the ones your liking for
They have quality over quantity this year. 10 commits- 3/5 5/4 2/3 stars, avg 93.48 which puts them ranked second behind OSU at 93.7. per 24/7
Quality over quantity will be prevalent for many top teams. Most teams need a handful of portal spots open.
They're in it for this kid too. He's going to reclassify to 2024 and it's down to them and Oklahoma https://247sports.com/player/davon-mitchell-46131020/
