Sorry, that was a bad joke.

We were just joking about Boggs legendary 107-beer trip from Boston to Seattle and it was on my mind.

You disqualified yourself by dismissing Jordan. And the strict parameters in your arguments for Russell. Sorry, that was weak.

He’s a throwback in a sense and the nba today is ill prepared for a true 5. There are very few true centers left in the league because of the rules they’ve created .

And if Jordan didn’t take two years off, he’d much more than likely have 8 in a row and probably 9 too if they didn’t disband. I’m not taking anything away from Russel either because he did what he did and I didn’t personally see it. I think Magic’s Lakers take em all but I only started watching in the 70’s.

Im not discounting Russell and he would be in anyone’s top 5 but you really went cherry picking. It was an 8 team league when he came in, with half of them nearly on the verge of bankruptcy… and No salary cap. For someone to dismiss Jordan’s 6 titles because they were “dwarfed” by Russell’s is completely lacking any perspective. Yes Russell played against some great players …but so did Jordan. In Russell’s era there was often debate on who was the best player. In Jordan’s era there really wasn’t. Everyone knew.

Those are good points. Eight teams also means the teams were stacked, not watered down. Half the teams in the mbr have no shot to win a title and many know they will miss the playoffs before they start. Even in the 80’s, take the Lakers and think about how their bench would compare to the benches of todays teams. Freeagency and so many teams.

In a smaller league the talent wasn’t as diluted as it is today.
EVERYONE said Columbus would fall off the edge of the earth, if man were meant to fly God would have given us wings, Lou Gehrig’ Iron man streak was unbreakable, your lungs would burst running a sub 4-minute mile…

Where does this EVERYONE guy live?!

On the morning of his 1967 fight against Ernie Terrell in the Houston Astrodome, Muhammad Ali sat in his hotel room watching a film of Rocky Marciano challenging Jersey Joe Walcott for the heavyweight title 15 years earlier. Ali leaned forward, his head cradled in his hands, watching intently until a bloodied and trailing Marciano knocked Walcott out in the 13th round with a short, emphatic right. Then Ali turned to his manager, Angelo Dundee.

“Angelo, the man’s tough,” said Ali, according to reporting by Sports Illustrated. “He’d be hell to fight. I’d wear him at the end of my glove for 10 rounds but he’d still be coming. Meanwhile, I’d be tired — maybe too tired to dance — and Rocky would be throwing punches … that wouldn’t be no fight — that would be a war.”

Marciano was already the heavyweight champ in 1954 when a 12-year-old Ali took up boxing after having his bicycle stolen. At night, the boy would listen to his transistor radio in Louisville, Kentucky, and hear Don Dunphy’s staticky voice from faraway Madison Square Garden, announcing Marciano as the heavyweight champ-eee-on of the world.

When Ali met Marciano in a battle of undefeated heavyweights

What skillet does Bron bring over MJ??? MJ is superior to him on O, and MJ actually plays defense. Pull up Angry Old Hoops fan on YT and it's game over for the King of Flop.

I was going to leave this thread alone but Jordan Stans kill me. Jordan spent his entire career guarding the Jeff Hornacek’s and Craig Ehlo’s of the world. Bron took MVP of the league Derrick Rose in the 4th quarter of every ECF game in 2011 and put his ass in a box. Something Jordan would NEVER do. Jordan playing “defense” in his prime versus Bron in his prime is no contest. One took a challenge and the other checked guys who were inept offensive players.

Offensively, Bron is the all time leading scorer in NBA history. Let me guess, “that’s a longevity record Tito!” Yeah ok. But somehow Bron is the only one in history to have done it. He has that record while also consistently leading his teams in rebounds and/or assists.

So what’s next, oh I know “Jordan is 6-0 and Bron is 4-6! 6 championships > 4 championships Tito you jerk!” (Probably said with hands on hips and a stern look on your face) This Jordan Stan argument is always a weird one. Only Jordan Stans think not being good enough to make a championship (in MJ’s case) > losing NBA finals (Bron’s case and in nearly every case he went against a superior team). Jordan used to get thumped by everyone in the 80’s. Bron was 22 and dragged Daniel Gibson type players to the NBA finals. Yes he got swept by a superior Spurs team in the midst of their dynasty, but somehow that’s worse than not being able to get out the 2nd round (80’s Jordan). Makes no sense and is one of the most goofball arguments of all time.

What skillset does Bron bring over Jordan? Why don’t you check the stats of each and tell me? You don’t really need to look them up, unless you’re a casual, you know the answer already.

You watched 0 nba in the 80's, 90's and early 2000's and you provided it with your ridiculous post. Look up who has the highest scoring average in NBA history, when teams averaged what, 90ish ppg. Jordan beat more 40-50-60 win teams than LeFLOP will EVER face. The only "goofball" argument are you uneducated bronsexuals talking about MJ not beating 2 teams stacked full of HOF's with a team full of literal coke addicts. Put Flop on those Bulls teams how many ships do they win.... ZERO. Flop has no heart, no desire, no killer instinct. If Flop is so "great" he should ALWAYS be the favorite in EVERY game, right? LMAO. Dude needed Wade, Bosh. Mike Miller, Allen, and a STACKED bench to win. He also got locked down by JJ Barrea hahaha. Then when Miami crumbled he ran back to Cle and formed another super team in the WORST conference in sports. Then ran to LA and has only managed a FAKE bubble championship... 2 MISSED playoffs, a 1st round exit, & the Bron special... a SWEEP! ;) Bron cares NOTHING about team ball, he has consistently one of the WORST +/- in the nba. LA did absolutely nothing until he got "injured" and the guys ALL of media said were garbage carried his bum arse to the play in.

I'll reiterate again, look up Old Angry Hoops fan on YouTube and try not to get hurt by the facts of Bron is NOT what you bronsexuals think he is.

I didn’t watch hoops huh? Riiiiggghhtt. Saying JJ Barea locked him up tells me you are Lord of the Jordan Stans. Bron choked that series but it wasn’t JJ locking him up. That’s yet another goofball argument.

The KD GSW team stomps any team Jordan beat in the finals to death. Bron had to face those teams with JR Smith and Kevin Love. Btw Bron also came back from 3-1 down to beat 3 future HOF’ers and a 73 win basketball team. Don’t let that fact get in the way of your blind Jordan faith.

Actually re-reading your post. You are a casual. Saying he formed a super team in Cleveland is goofy and tells me you don’t know what the hell you’re talking about. Leave it alone man. Basketball isn’t your thing. I hear badminton could use an uptick in fan support. Try that.
