As I said, I have all the respect in the world for Elizabeth, but she was not a Friday/Sunday talent and that's what she was forced to become. Wasn't fair to her and likely, at least a part, of why she doesn't miss softball.

she had compartmental syndrome. That is where the muscles grow faster than the fascia around them. This is very painful and debilitating. But, she is back in full stride.

Korbe to the rescue. Oh, wait...too low on the body. BTW....Korbe said she practices suturing. While that is admirable, the person I really want to meet is the clown that volunteers to be sutured.

Source: Oklahoma has their transfer pitcher - and it’s not Alana Vawter.

I’m guessing Paytn Monticelli from Wisconsin. Will be a sophomore at OU. Fingers crossed Vawter to the Gators.

Thank you for your info on EH. I’m new on the forum.
I got interested in UF softball about 2006 or thereabouts, when they started televising games. Coverage has really changed with almost every game available. A great improvement!
But, there is a definite lack of information from the program and the media. For example, your post was the first I had heard about EH health. When we played in Palm Springs, I couldn’t find any info about why Skyler wasn’t playing.
I know Softball is not as popular as, say, Football, where if a player passes gas, you read about it. But, as I see it, our softball players, coaches and staff are first class and provide a very enjoyable experience to probably many more fans than the program or the media realizes. We, as fans, want and need reliable and current information and human interest type news such as profiles and travel logistics. I believe it would help the program by increasing its popularity.
Until we start receiving better coverage, I will rely on this forum. Thank you for sharing.

"I deployed six times to the Middle East… I volunteered because softball was so expensive,” James Hightower said.

Who knew softball was so expensive? I just Google'd and it seems travel ball is easily into five figures per year. That's some dedication since it's not like there is a major league payday at the end of the rainbow. Props to E's dad for going into a war zone to support her dream.

To be fair, I’m just posting stats. I didn’t start following closely until the SEC network came around.

Great of topic but on topic. Brings back lots of memories. I have been to about 80% of the home games since 2007 so I really thank you for finding this!

FYI....Number of freshman innings pitched by past great Gator pitchers.
    Kelly Barnhill 108
    Stacey Nelson 173
    Delanie Gourley 107
    Hannah Rogers 128
    Lauren Haegar 129
Maybe all we need is one more decent pitcher to get to the promised land.

I'm going to try that positive thing again and say we're going to land Vawter and Keeny.

OU going after her tells me they're not getting Vawter. Also tells me they're not completely confident in their current pitching.

When was the last time OU was completely confident in their current pitching roster? Juarez, Hope, Alex, and now Paytn.

Take all the talent you can get and sort the rest out later.

Been my thoughts all alone. Would like to see what their own talent does in the circle without transfers. May has never been dominant. Bahl was the exception since Paige Parker.
