In regards to Northwestern being a possible landing sport for Vawter, as some have speculated on another board, they signed Ashley Miller, a very good grad transfer pitcher from Michigan State a couple of weeks ago. They lost 2 pitchers to graduation, have 3 coming back and 3 more players who pitch in the incoming freshman class. It doesn't look like any of their players are transferring out, so that's 7 pitchers already on their 2024 roster. Another possible piece of good news for UF.
We're going to probably have to wait 2 weeks until she gets back from South Africa and Walton gets back from Ireland before we know whether or not we're going to get Vawter. But apparently another big time player is visiting soon based on what another poster said. Wonder who that could be?
I was going to keep this my own demented secret. I seriously need an intervention or deep psychiatric counseling. I had a dream last night. I am NOT making this up. I rarely remember my dreams and, if I do, they aren't clear and make no sense. Last night I dreamt I was in a meeting with Walton. This is clear to me as the morning sunshine. I told him he had to move fast in order to get Vawter. He replied, "she called me yesterday and told me she was going to be in Norman." Please help me. If I am dreaming about Vawter, I have clearly gone over the edge.
A friend of mine says it is Monticelli to OU. Apparently D1 Softball is saying so. I didn't check with them to see what, if anything, they are saying. They are on my short list anyway. They renewed me last month automatically. When I checked my credit card I found they charged me on 5/29 and also charged me the same amount on 6/1. It took me about 10 days and at least 6 emails to get them to credit my card, which they eventually did. They said I asked for two subscriptions...uh, no I didn't. They said people usually screw up the app and double charge. Uh, I don't have the app. I use web site only. I then had to send a copy/paste of my credit card statement since they claimed they couldn't find anything about charging my account twice. I'll admit she was very pleasant in all of her emails while running me around for 10 days. They finally did credit my card.
UGA added another portal pitcher. Rachel Gibson from Clemson. I think I might live with this one. She had an ERA of 0.00. She only pitched one inning. Walked one and struck out one.
I wonder if it's Keeney who is coming to gainesville for a campus visit. I thought it might be Paytn ( both visited Tallahassee) but paytn is going to OU. Also, I thought Karlie was signing with Tennessee but it seems like she's still deciding.
I had forgotten that Keeney took OU to the 8th inning before losing a tie breaker game. That would be a great addition to the pitching staff. I believe she also beat UCLA.
Gettin' a little greedy here; BUT, Keeny and Vawter would be excellent!!! I'll be happy with one; but, both.... nice.
