It’s not looking good currently but all it takes is one slime ball with a big check book to come out of the woodwork to pull the class together.
from all i've gathered, their top targets seem to be https://247sports.com/player/marquise-lightfoot-46128001/ https://247sports.com/Player/Dylan-Stewart-46116287/ https://247sports.com/Player/Deryc-Plazz-46132343/ https://247sports.com/Player/Colin-Simmons-46113991/ https://247sports.com/player/justin-scott-46125615/ https://247sports.com/Player/Aydin-Breland-46109373/ https://247sports.com/Player/Elias-Rudolph-46117467/ https://247sports.com/player/chris-cole-46134437/
They would have to be perfect in getting them plus some other good ones to be top 10. I don't see that happening when they can't scoop the lower rated guys they targeted.
agreed. Peep this thread. They're in shambles and in full meltdown mode A quick update after talking to some people
Those eyes are wide open now. They see that Mario can only recruit by being the top bidder of mercenaries thinking only of money. If they weren't in Dade count, whoof.
Can't be. We've always been told here Saban and smart are just damn great recruiters and only keep great recruiters on staff
I have to say though that it looks as though NIL is creating some parity. There are many FBS schools who could have deep pockets, so it is unlikely to be Bama and Georgia and OSU and then everybody else anymore. Oregon, LSU, aTm, UT and UT, UF, USC and USC, Michigan, PSU could all make some noise in recruiting. It could make for some exciting 12 team playoffs with top talent dispersed better.
Coaching does play a big part but none can recruit without cash. A&M may not have the coach, just the cash. It’ll take both. I do expect a few teams to join bama George and Ohio state though. I hope it’s us.
To me it's telling of why certain programs have been "recruiting" at unprecedented levels for some time now
unprecedented is the key word. Saban did in ten years what took the Beaer and all the other greats decades.
