Good and evil are far too black and white to categorize humans into. We're all on that spectrum. I do think human history has been inordinately affected by bad people, the ultra-ambitious narcissists and psychopaths amongst us. Look at Putin right now. One bad person can do a tremendous amount of damage. That's just the nature of it. But I think most of us just want to live our lives in peace and generally be good people.
That 6-minute gang shootout scene in episode 4 is one of the most exhilarating, thrilling action scenes I’ve ever seen on TV. Just brilliant. Anyway, not surprised at dirty cops acting badly in Mississippi, and not supposed at the usual characters up to their usual schtick in here.

I could not believe how much Freeport grew since I last visited, it ain't Freeport no more! That 27,000 acre First American Farm Spread looks like it's gotten all broken up to real estate developers.
I don’t think you said anything that controversial. It’s very debatable whether we humans are innately good or bad. I am interested in the subject and find it very interesting. I appreciate your openness on the subject.
I heard this morning that the lawyer for the guy who got shot inside the freakin mouth said that part of the motivation for this is that the two victims dated white women. As heinous as the alleged actions are, I'm wondering if a wife or girlfriend of one of the cops had previously slept with one of the victims...
Crime has been on a downward trend for almost 50 years. The book freakonomics argued that taking lead out of the gas was a significant factor. We had a brief uptick during Covid but it is going to continue its downward trend. What has increased is crime reporting. With the ubiquitousness of camera phones we get reports and videos of every possible crime. Fraud and embezzlement seem to be the only crimes that are increasing. Those and idiots killing people as a suicide attempt are about it.
I think we are over policed. Some sort of community assistance unarmed with armed police on standby seems more appropriate. I don’t know how we transition to more sensible community control. Cops only became the good guys when tv started portraying them as such. There are of course are good cops. It’s the system that is bad.
I think they are underpaid and lack the number to be effective. We need more cops and higher quality ones.
What is a higher quality cop? Do they need masters degrees or something? Say no to that second donut while at "work?" 100 more hours of sensitivity training?
Don’t you think Americans could pay more and expect more from police? Same for teachers…we could pay them more and possibly attract better people to do these critically important jobs.
