The flame throwers here on both sides never make it long. They either get banned, board when their tactics are understood and they can’t get the same rise out of folks anymore, or truly can’t fathom the idea that their opinions are not taken as the absolute truth by everyone and that other opinions exist, and burn themselves out fairly quickly.

Yeah, that wasn't at all the context of your remarks at all. You made the comment to say how you wouldn't let your children near a person who was potentially LGBTQ (and defended them as not bigoted) and should own up to it.

 

I gotcha. Remember that first came up when I started a thread ripping Trump and giving my reasons for not voting for him.
We all sorta "know" each other in a certain way here and I was just trying to be transparent. Basically, I didnt want that stink on me anymore. It has come up in multiple threads since as people unaware have made the assumption that because I lean right that I am MAGA.

You stated you wouldn't let your daughters near a person who did nothing wrong other than be LGBTQ (possibly). The fact that you are now trying to change your words to making it about your daughters somehow being disapproving (or "bummed" about that person existing, to use your word) of that is disgusting, honestly. And completely dishonest on your part. I honestly don't think that is like you and is just because you are firmly in defensive position.

Go ahead. If its the thread I am thinking it is, you should start with the part of the thread where i talk about my sympathy towards the young person working at our Moe's who is clearly transitioning and how I take my kids there all the time.

Quote the parts where i mention how I feel that young person should be treated. How they clearly look sad all the time and it has been my mission to make them look me in the eye and smile. Discuss with the folks how I was happy yo put a smile on that kids face and how they always go out 9f their way to talk to us now.

Then link us to the story of my employee and our dear friend. Pretty sure I discuss them in that thread too.

Okay, here are some of the posts where you stated you would not have wanted an LGBTQ person near your children (at no point, do you pawn it off on your kids not being happy about LGBTQ people, as you do here, and then stated that was the context, when it clearly wasn't):

Do you want me to continue posting comments that match Soho's accusation (which is that you have stated that you want to keep LGBTQ people away from your kids)? The bolding is every time in those posts that you expressed your desire to keep a person that you think is LGBTQ away from your kids (for no other reason than they were LGBTQ, as the person was clearly very polite in the posted video and had not demonstrated an inability to properly do the job).

 

Keep trying. The disney thread was specific.And even then I was very open to how i feel compassion for folks. So be fair and post all my other posts on the topic. Cherry picking out of context isn't usually your style.

No, you spent most of that thread stating that you weren't engaged in bigotry while simultaneously saying you wouldn't want an LGBTQ person near your kids. You intermixed it with stories about how you couldn't be a bigot because you hired somebody who was trans and that you were recently nice to a trans person. But the accusation was that you stated you wouldn't want an LGBTQ person near your kids. I provided full evidence of you doing exactly that multiple time (and not limiting it to that one person- who, it should be noted, did nothing wrong other than being LGBTQ).

Soho's accusation was accurate and you should apologize for stating that Soho should delete the accurate statement about what you said.

He said I had said this on "multiple occasions". You have cited one specific thread where I am speaking only about a specific setting.

He also accuses me of calling being gay a behavior.

So again. He is incorrect. I have done neither. (Bent context notwithstanding)

I provided multiple occasions. The fact that you did it a bunch on one thread is not inconsistent with his post. And I could provide a bunch more instances of you doing it on that thread (despite your claims to the contrary).

So, do you think being gay is a behavior?

 

1. Saying it in one thread. Probably in one day, in one conversation constitutes one instance and again it was case specific and by no means my overall view. Thus my other points in that thread to ad clarity.

2. I believe same sex attraction is something you are born with. Not a behavior.

 

It was not in one day. It was not in one conversation, as multiple people noticed that issue. You never provided any particular reason why that person deserved that sort of reaction compared to other LGBTQ people. Because, frankly, that person did nothing wrong in that video. And you have never backed off the claim that you wouldn't want your kids near that person, who, again, did nothing wrong.

So a person is born gay, in your opinion?
