Dr J and Dominique Wilkins. I was a leaper, but in hindsight as much as i loved those 2 guys, i should have added a pure shooter to that list. I still think Julius and Nique are two of the nicest, classiest superstars to ever play the game. If only they had more rings between them.
I played against him in the Florida Gym one time. Definitely a lot of meat on that Meat Hook, he was a wide load.

I played at the old gym in 1974 and also at some elementary school off 34th I believe. Pretty decent talent there. One time I was playing with my high school friend at A Alley and Phil Glasper walks by our game. My friend claims Glasper was glaring at him because his jump shot was so good! Yea right!!! My friend was prone to exaggeration!
A guy in law school with me from71 to 74 was also there a lot. A big, strong Jamaican guy named Jake Rose. We’re still friends. Jake was about 6’2”, maybe 215 and probably less than5% body fat. Incredibly athletic, not super skilled back then. If you were in the gym when Jake was there, you were there when I was.
I don’t recall him but I was a freshman in fall of 74 so was starting to get around. In addition to basketball, I played softball on our dorm team (Tolbert) and we won the campus tourney. I mostly drank beer and watched the coeds and ate Shelley’s Pizza and hung out at the Union. Back then, you could get a spot in the Union and listen to LP’s. (pre- CD’s)
Because my offensive game was verrrrrrry limited, I modeled my game after Ben Wallace. Teammates loved me cause I played D, grabbed rebounds, set on ball screens, and didn't care if I shot.
