It’s not just domination, it’s taking advantage of people, resources or whatever to improve oneself or tribe.
Sadly that seems to be the case - Domination of the weak. Fascists - speaking of which, didn't 72 million Americans VOTE for such a person, with adherents storming the capitol, breaking in and attempting a coo? Or am I missing something?
Bro...the behavior described it straight up felonious AF. He'll no, under zero circumstances can I abide such heinous conduct, ESPECIALLY under color of law.
That is not even close to what I’m taking from his post. Please people, notice that citygator asked the question about how could a human become so evil. That’s the context and why you’re reading a comment.
Well, under 'rule of law', we call such behavior 'criminal,' and treat it as such. Even (especially, I would submit), when perpetrated under color of law--ie, the very thing that's charged to uphold rule of law. Just sayn...
Ok, let me see if I'm understanding you. You're just saying that ppl are generally shitty, so this oughtn't be particularly shocking... ... not that these cops' behavior is necessary let alone justified, to maintain order even in the 'hood. Is that fairly accurate?
That’s lazy. This thread has an offshoot that deals with the nature in humans. Evil is not always so clear nor is it universally agreed upon.
No, I'm posting that such behavior lies just beneath the surface and often manifests itself. Human nature regrettably. Unlike most or all on this board, I am not impressed with mankind's attempt to place our species in the pantheon of the gods. I find the species to be more of an invasive predator, a mistake of nature, that, is expressed quite eloquently, by Russ to Marty, in episode 1 of true detectives when they leave the crime scene. Check it out.
Agree. I played Division III football my freshman year in college in New York (blazing 5.2 speed at linebacker) and I asked one of my teammates what was so great about NYC? His answer "well, if there's nothing to do you can always go downtown and beat up queers." (think THICK Staten Island accent). Sad. I may be a bit to the right of Attila the Hun politically but have never understood the benefit of hurting the innocent or defenseless.
Why would anyone opt for a violent job if they werent on some level comfortable inflicting violence on others?
