They did and their misses were often not the near misses that sometimes entice swings. Many were so far out of the strike zone so many times that the LSU batters didn't even need to look at the pitch carefully.

Left handed power pitchers are like hen's teeth. Get that fastball under control and the guy could have a stellar pitching career.

I think simply, we lost to a slightly better team.

I sure hope control gets better for Cags. Right now if I were batting Lefty I would want full body armor against him.

I think Neely has been promised a starting pitcher role next season for agreeing to be the closer this year. Other than that I believe our other starting pitchers are open to competition - Caglionone, Fisher, Coppola (if healthy), Clemente (if healthy) and who knows else? A lot of question marks on the pitching side going into fall camp and a lot of open spots to fight for in the regular lineup, too.

There is a reason why LSU changed their lineup and moved a lefty up to lead off

It will be interesting to see what Sully does with Cags pitching wise next year. Can coaching and practice reduce wildness?

And what Cags focuses on during the summer. Does he go all in for batting or pitching or try to do both?

Nolan Ryan was very erractic until he was coached by Tom Morgan with the Angels. Cags needs somebody that can break his mechanics down and rebuild them in a similar way. That takes time and very good coaching.

to Shelby 350GT- speaking of Florida recruits tearing it up elsewhere, there's the freshman at S.C. who I believe is from Land O' Lakes
