    Ha, glad you asked.
We noticed four separate times the locals made politically-related comments to our group. The comments were about high taxes, gender dysphoria and feeling like the state was separating their own citizens based on political affiliation. Strange how often it came up organically.
Each time the people were pro conservative and we were a bit thrown off. I know cons live in CA too, but we were pretty surprised how that worked. We never brought up anything touching politics. Very nice people everywhere we went. The most liberal people we saw were in Disneyland. I’d say after this trip, there seemed to be many more openly libbies in Florida…even though I know it to be untrue.

Don’t worry, we in Northern California are about to taste freedom heat this weekend too with temps expected to go into the 100s.

Just seeing this thread. Glad you enjoyed it. That’s my old stomping grounds and I head back 2-3x a year (was just there in April and will be back down in July). Sometimes I kick myself for moving away.

San Diego zoo may be the top zoo in the world. It’s been years since I have been but it may be better when the kids are a little older.

Not to mention that Ron Burgundy was a big hero there. Did you see that documentary?

I think FrenchTastic mentioned something about that town in one of her latest YouTube blogs...
